Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Have you ever been craving chicken noodle soup but you’re short on time? This Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe is so easy and can be made quickly by using a rotisserie chicken! Of course, you can make it with an uncooked whole chicken but either way, it’s yummy! I’ve shared this easy recipe below and make sure to use the frozen egg noodles(or you can make your own)as these large noodles are part of what makes this chicken noodle soup recipe so good!

I prefer to use Grandma’s Fresh Frozen Homestyle Egg Noodles. They are usually in the freezer section near the pasta or rolls. If you can’t find them, make sure to ask as they always seem to be hard to find in the grocery store freezer section. The other brand I like is called Reames Frozen Egg Noodles. Both are so good and I can’t make homemade egg noodles from scratch that taste as good as Grandma’s or Reames so I just buy them! Make sure you get the wide egg noodle size. Those work best for this recipe.

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

• 1 Large Simmer Pot

Ingredients

• 1 -Rotisserie Chicken You can use an uncooked whole chicken if you don't want to use a rotisserie chicken, just increase the simmering time to 2 .5 hours or until the chicken meat is tender and falling off the bone.
• 2 -32 oz. Boxes chicken stock
• Water to cover the chicken
• 2 tsp Salt
• 1 tsp Pepper
• 3-4 Carrots, peeled and sliced into bite sized pieces
• 3-4 Celery stalks with leaves, diced into smaller pieces
• 1/2 Small white onion diced into smaller pieces
• 1 Bag Grandma's Homemade Egg Noodles or Reames Frozen Egg Noodles
• ½ 8 oz. Container of chicken flavored Better than Bouillon seasoning or 4-6 chicken bouillon cubes

Instructions

• Place the rotisserie chicken in a large pot and add two 32oz. boxes of chicken stock and then add enough water to cover the chicken.
  
• Add 2 teaspoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper, or to taste.
• Bring the pot to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for one hour or until the meat is falling off the bone.
• Remove the chicken from the pot and set it aside to cool.
• Add the bag of frozen egg noodles to the pot with the remaining chicken stock. Stir to separate the noodles and bring to a low boil over medium to medium-high heat. While the chicken is cooling, peel and dice the carrots, celery, and onions.
  
• Once the noodles start to boil, add the chopped carrots, celery, and onions to the pot. You can add more liquid with more chicken stock if needed. The liquid will evaporate while boiling the chicken so add as needed or you can add more water if you don't have more chicken stock and add more of the bouillon flavoring.
  
• Debone the cooled chicken and break into small pieces. Don't over shred the meat and add the chicken back into the pot and stir every so often.
• Add about half of the container of chicken flavored Better than Bouillon Seasoning or 4-6 chicken bouillon cubes to the pot. This is also to taste so make sure to taste the broth to make sure it has enough flavor. Add more bouillon if needed. You want a rich chicken flavored broth.
  
• Stir everything together and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the carrots are fork-tender and the noodles are fully cooked.
• Taste the broth and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper or bouillon if needed.
• Serve hot and enjoy your homemade chicken noodle soup!

• 4 Fresh Limes
• 1/2 cup Simple Syrup Homemade or Store-Bought
• 2 cups Ginger Beer non-alcoholic
• 1 cup Sparkling Water
• Ice Cubes
• Lime Slices and Fresh Mint Leaves for Garnish

Instructions

• Step 1: Prepare the Lime Juice Start by juicing the 4 Fresh Limes. Roll them gently on the countertop to release more juice. Cut the limes in half and use a citrus juicer or your hands to extract the juice. Strain the juice to remove any seeds or pulp, and set it aside.

• Step 2: Create the Simple Syrup In a small saucepan, combine equal parts of water and sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the simple syrup to cool down. You can also buy Simple Syrup at the grocery store if you don't want to make your own.
  1/2 cup Simple Syrup
• Step 3: Mix the Mocktail Take a copper Moscow Mule mug or a tall glass and fill it with ice cubes. Add the fresh lime juice to a pitcher, followed by the 1/2 cup Simple Syrup. Stir well to ensure the flavors blend together perfectly.
• Step 4: Add the Ginger Beer Pour in the 2 cups Ginger Beer, which brings the signature spiciness to the mocktail. Stir gently to incorporate all the ingredients evenly.

• Step 5: Top with Sparkling Water To give the mocktail a refreshing fizz, add the 1 cup Sparkling Water to the mixture. Its effervescence will lift the flavors and create a delightful texture. Give the mocktail one final stir.

Homemade Potato Soup

This homemade classic potato soup recipe is so creamy and delicious. It's the perfect comfort food for any time of the year, I love making this for a potluck or luncheon and when the cooler temperatures in fall arrive.

Ingredients

• 4 large potatoes peeled and diced
• 1 small white onion finely chopped
• 3 stalks celery, diced into small pieces
• 1 package bacon, chopped into ¼ inch pieces
• ½ cup butter (one cube)
• ⅔ cup flour
• 5 cups chicken or vegetable broth
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 2 cups milk (Whole Milk or 2%)
• 2 tsp salt to taste (may need more)
• 1 tsp pepper (to taste)
• 1 tsp onion salt
• 1 tsp Johnnys Seasoning Salt (or any seasoning salt)
• 1-2 cups grated cheddar cheese (to your liking)
• 1 bunch green onions for garnish. (optional)

Instructions

• Peel and dice 4 large potatoes into one inch pieces and set aside in cold water. I like to use Yukon Gold potatoes but any potato will do! Grab the largest ones you can find. Then, chop up the onions, celery, and bacon.
  
• In a large pot or enameled cast iron pan, melt the butter on medium heat and add in the onions and celery. Stir frequently and sauté for about 3-4 minutes. Then add in half of the chopped up bacon. Sauté for another 5-6 minutes until the onions and celery start to get a little soft. Add in the salt and pepper.
  
• Add in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes until the flour is well combined with the bacon, onions, and celery, cook until it starts to bubble up. This allows the flour to cook a bit and gets rid of the flour taste.
  
• Add in the chicken or vegetable stock and stir until all the flour mixture and vegetables are well combined. Add in the diced potatoes and the onion salt and seasoning salt. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5-10 minutes until the potatoes become almost fork tender.
• While the soup is coming to a simmer, add the remaining bacon to a small frying pan and cook the rest of the bacon pieces until crispy to use as a topping and grate the cheddar cheese if you are not using already shredded cheese.
• Add in the milk and heavy cream and stir frequently over medium heat until the soup starts to thicken up. Be sure to use a spatula to stir gently and scrape the bottom after adding the milk and cream. Once this is added you want to make sure that the milk and cream do not scorch on the bottom of the pan. Keep the temp around medium to medium low.
• Give the soup a taste to see if you need to add more salt or pepper. The chicken or vegetable stock has salt in it as well as the bacon so add more to your preferred taste if needed.
• If for some reason, the soup is too thick once it's done, add in a little more heavy cream or milk to thin it out to your liking. If it is too runny and not thick enough, take 1/4 cup of butter and melt it in a small sauce pan then add in 1/4 cup of flour and stir until the the lumps are gone and and starts to bubble. Once this is done, add it into the soup and gently stir until it's mixed into the soup well and continue to cook over medium to medium low until it thickens further. This should help it to thicken up a bit.
• Serve in bowls and garnish with the cheese, crispy bacon pieces, and green onions.

Classic Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Mashed Potatoes are one of my favorite things to eat! I love potatoes in any form but mashed might be my favorite! I also love to smother them in homemade gravy. My family loves gravy so I learned at a very young age how to make really good mashed potatoes and homemade gravy.

Now for some backstory…

My grandpa was a farmer in Idaho and grew wheat and barley but his winter job was to work in a spud house in southeastern Idaho as a potato inspector. I can honestly say that we had potatoes with every meal! My grandparents would always bring us big boxes of potatoes, or spuds as they called them.

My mom could make potatoes in more ways than I could count including, fried, scalloped, baked, and of course mashed. She found ways to incorporate them into all our meals and I loved them whatever way they were made. In fact, my nickname was PQ, for Potato Queen. My dad called me that because I loved them so much.

We NEVER had instant potatoes and I’m still like that. I can hardly bring myself to make them out of a box since it was so ingrained in me to make the real thing! What can I say? I’m a bit of a potato snob now!

My Mom and Grandmas would always make their homemade roast beef and brown gravy with this mashed potatoes recipe for Sunday dinner. I have continued this tradition with my family and it’s one of my favorite meals to make!

Homemade Mashed Potatoes Recipe

There is nothing better than homemade Mashed Potatoes! I've shared this easy recipe that makes the perfect mashed potatoes. Try pairing this with my Roast Beef and Homemade Brown Gravy for the perfect Sunday dinner!

Ingredients

• 4 pounds potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
• ½ cup heavy cream or milk
• 4 tbsp butter
• 2 tbsp salt for potato water
• ½ tsp salt (to taste)
• 1¼ tsp pepper (to taste)

Instructions

• Wash the 4 pounds potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Peel the potatoes using a vegetable peeler and cut them into small pieces.
• Put the potatoes into a large pot and cover them with cold water. Add 2 tablespoons of salt to the water to help season the potatoes while they cook. Always salt your potato water!
  
• Place the pot on the stove with the lid on and turn the heat on high. Bring the water to a boil and remove the lid, then reduce the heat to medium and let the potatoes simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until they are fork-tender.
• Once the potatoes are done cooking, drain them in a colander and return them to the pot.
  
• Using a stand mixer or potato masher, add the potatoes to the stand mixer bowl or you can mash them in the pot or a bowl. Then add the 4 tbsp butter.
  
• Next, add in the ½ cup heavy cream or milk to the potatoes and mix them in the stand mixer or mash with the potato masher until well combined and there are no lumps.
  
• Add ½ tsp salt and 1¼ tsp pepper to taste and continue stirring until the mashed potatoes are smooth and creamy.
  
• If you want your mashed potatoes to be thinner, you can add a little bit more milk or butter until you reach your desired consistency.
  
• Serve the mashed potatoes hot and enjoy! I like to pair them with my roast beef and brown gravy. Recipes are linked in this blog post.

Classic Roast Beef Recipe

Roast beef is a classic Sunday dinner dish that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Here's a simple recipe for making a delicious roast beef that's homemade and is easy to make!

• 1 roasting pan or enameled cast iron with lid

Ingredients

• 3-4 lbs beef roast (rump, bottom, or pot roast)
• 1 tsp salt to taste
• ½ tsp pepper to taste
• 3 tbsp oil (vegetable, canola, or avocado oil)
• 1 tsp Johnny's seasoning salt (or any seasoning salt)

Instructions

• Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  
• Season the beef roast generously with salt, pepper, and seasoning salt, rubbing it into the meat with your hands.
  
• In a large roasting pan over medium-high heat, heat the oil until hot. Place the seasoned beef roast in the skillet and sear it on all sides until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
  
• Place the lid on the roasting pan and place in the preheated oven. Roast the beef for about 2½ -3 hours, or until the beef becomes tender and starts to fall apart.
• Remove the beef roast from the oven and place the roast beef on a platter or large plate and cover with the roasting pan lid. Allow the meat to rest while you make the gravy from the pan drippings. I prefer to pull my roast beef apart with a fork but you can slice it into pieces if you prefer. Save the drippings in the pan to make the gravy. I'll link the gravy recipe below.
  
• I like to serve my roast beef dinner with my homemade brown gravy, mashed potatoes, and brown sugar butter carrots or a side of sweet corn. I also like to make my homemade rolls or braided bread when I have time. All these other recipes are linked in the blog post.

Homemade Brown Gravy Recipe

Sunday dinners are special occasions where families and friends gather around the table to enjoy a delicious meal. Roast Beef is a classic dish for our Sunday dinner, but it’s not complete without a rich, flavorful brown gravy and homemade mashed potatoes. You’re going to love my roast beef and homemade brown gravy recipe!

Making homemade brown gravy from a roast beef may seem intimidating, but it’s actually quite simple. In this blog post I”ll show you how to make this delicious brown gravy. This recipe will elevate your Sunday dinner to the next level!

As I said above, gravy can be intimidating to make but don’t be nervous if you’re one of those people. It’s actually very simple. To make good beef gravy to go with your roast beef, you’ll need to have drippings from the meat you’ve roasted and then you make a roux. 

Making the Roast Beef 

This brown gravy recipe is made from the drippings of roast beef so you’ll need to make this Roast Beef recipe to make this gravy. You have to sear and brown all sides of the roast beef. When the beef is roasting in the oven, it creates these caramelized drippings that gives your gravy the richest flavor. Here is the Classic Roast Beef Recipe that goes with this gravy.

Making a Roux

When your roast beef is done you will take the meat out of the pan and make a roux. What is a roux? It’s equal parts fat (meat drippings, butter, or oil) to equal parts flour. You cook it over medium heat and whisk it together until it starts to bubble. This is your thickening base for the gravy. Once you add the water and bring to a low simmer, the mixture will start to thicken up and that’s your gravy. You’ll then add in your seasonings.

These dark drippings in the bottom of the pan are what give the gravy it’s amazing flavor!

Whisk the roast beef drippings and flour over medium heat. Keep whisking the drippings and flour until it starts to bubble. The next step is to add water to the roux. Doing it this way also prevents lumps from happening to your gravy. No one wants lumpy gravy! Add your water and continue to whisk it until it comes to a low simmer.

One trick my mom taught me was to save the potato water from the mashed potatoes. It’s already super hot and has some of the starch from the potatoes (and salt from salting the potato water) and this helps the gravy to simmer faster so it can thicken up and adds a little more flavor to it.

Cook on medium heat until it starts to thicken up. If the gravy is too thick, add a little more water too thin it out a bit. Gravy shouldn’t be too thick or too thin. You have to hit that middle ground for it to be good! Add in some salt and pepper to taste, beef bouillon or beef base, and kitchen bouquet browning sauce to season the gravy and stir. Let it simmer a bit while stirring and let the flavors meld. Add in more salt and pepper if needed or beef base or bouillon if needed.

What is Kitchen Bouquet? 

This is a beef browning sauce that my mom and grandma always used. It adds a lot of rich, beef flavoring to the gravy. It doesn’t take much but it adds and extra rich flavor to the gravy.

If you don’t have enough drippings, add in some oil or butter so you have enough to make a roux. This can be a bit of a guessing game but as long as your roux has equal parts fat and flour, you’ll be okay! This will help you have enough gravy for the roast beef and mashed potatoes.

NOTES 

When I make gravy from a roast, the drippings from the fat on the meat can vary. We love gravy in our family so if I Cana get at least a 1/2 cup of drippings or more, I am happy! (Some of the drippings come from the leftover oil in the pan from browning the roast.

What do you do if you get lumps in your gravy? 

Use a hand immersion blender to get there lumps out. Here is the one I have. This comes in handy!

Homemade Brown Gravy Recipe

Sunday dinners are special occasions where families and friends gather around the table to enjoy a delicious meal. Roast beef is a classic dish for our Sunday dinner, but it's not complete without a rich, flavorful brown gravy and homemade mashed potatoes.

• 1 Roasting Pan

Ingredients

• Drippings from a roasted beef + 3 tablespoons of oil (vegetable, avocado, or canola)
• ½ cup flour
• 6-8 cups water (add in 6, if too thick, thin out with more water)
• salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tbsp Kitchen Bouquet Beef Seasoning
• 1 tbsp beef base or beef bouillon.

Instructions

• After removing the roasted beef from the oven, remove the roast from the pan and let rest while you make the gravy.
  
• Place the roast pan back on the stove and turn the heat to medium high and add in the flour.
  
• Stir the flour into the oil and drippings with a whisk and keep stirring until the flour mixture starts to bubble up. Let cook for a minute or so until everything is smooth and there are no lumps of flour.
• Slowly pour in the water while stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. If I'm making mashed potatoes, I drain the potatoes after boiling them and save the potato water for the gravy. See my notes in the blog post for more about this little trick I use. You can use cold tap water or try my potato water trick.
  
• Continue to stir the mixture until it thickens and comes to a simmer.
• Reduce the heat to low and let the gravy simmer for a few minutes until it reaches the desired consistency.
  
• Season the gravy with salt and pepper to taste and add in kitchen bouquet and the beef boullion and stir. I like mine salty so don't be afraid to add more salt and pepper to your liking. Be sure to taste it first!
• Serve the gravy hot with the roasted beef and mashed potatoes.

Easy Homemade Salsa

Every time I make this recipe, everyone loves it and asks for the recipe! With Cinco De Mayo coming up, I thought this would be the perfect time to share this easy homemade salsa recipe with you.

This salsa is so easy to make and can be ready in around ten minutes. The ingredients are simple and most of them are things you might already have on your shelf or in the refrigerator. The only equipment you will need is a cutting board and blender.

There are only 7 ingredients in this easy homemade salsa recipe. There is minimal prep time and the cleanup is easy.

I usually make my salsa a few hours ahead so it has time to chill in the refrigerator. It’s even better if you make it the day ahead or earlier in the day before serving it. It can be served with dinner, before dinner, or as an appetizer. It’s also a great homemade condiment to have in the fridge! This recipe also makes a big batch but, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t last long! It disappears quickly because it’s so good!

Easy Homemade Salsa Recipe

This quick and easy homemade salsa recipe is a family favorite and only takes about ten minutes to make. It uses a handful of simple ingredients and is the perfect appetizer or condiment for any type of Mexican food you're serving. I always make this on Cinco de Mayo and it's always a hit.

Prep Time 10 minutes minutes

Equipment

• 1 blender
• 1 cutting board

Ingredients

• 2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes
• 1 10 oz can Ro-Tel original diced tomatoes and green chiles
• 1 bunch green onions
• 1 small lime
• 1 bunch cilantro
• ½ tsp salt (to taste)
• ½ tsp pepper (to taste)

Instructions

• Add the 2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes and 1 10 oz can Ro-Tel original diced tomatoes and green chiles to a blender.
• Wash the 1 bunch green onions and cut off the ends. Then chop them into 1" pieces and add to the blender.
• Wash the 1 bunch cilantro in a bowl of water to remove any dirt. Shake the water off and pat dry with a paper towel. Take about half of the bunch of cilantro and put it in the blender.
• Cut the 1 small lime in half and squeeze the juice into the blender.
• Add the ½ tsp salt (to taste) and ½ tsp pepper (to taste).
• Put the lid on the blender and blend until everything is blended into small pieces. Each blender will vary so try to get the consistency of what is shown in the images I've put into this post.
• Grab a couple of tortilla chips and taste the salsa. You may want to add more salt and pepper. I like mine salty but I always add a little at a time so it doesn't get over-salted. If you love the lime flavor, you may want to add a little more lime juice too. Some limes are juicier than others so add a little more if you like.
• The Ro-Tel canned tomatoes are what add the heat. I don't like things too spicy so I use the original Ro-Tel but you can use the medium or spicy Ro-Tel if you want to add more heat. Another variation is to add a little fresh jalapeño.
• Pour into a bowl or container and store in the fridge. This can be served immediately after making or you can make it ahead and store in the refrigerator for up to a week. If you want to make it and use it throughout the week, store it in a mason jar with the lid on it. It helps to make it last longer.

Green Beans with Pancetta

If you’re looking for a simple and tasty side dish or a vegetable to add to a main course, this recipe is for you! I love green beans and I love adding pancetta (or bacon) to them with some shallots and a few seasonings. I think you’re going to love this delicious Green Beans with Pancetta Recipe!

Delicious Green Beans with Pancetta

This healthy side dish pairs perfectly with any main dish and is easy and fast to make. It's one of my go-to side dishes and is full of flavor and great any season of the year. This will become a staple side dish in your cooking repertoire!

Ingredients

• 1-2 pounds fresh green beans
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2-3 cloves garlic finely chopped
• 1 large shallot chopped
• 3-4 slices pancetta (or bacon) chopped into small pieces
• 1 tsp salt to taste (or more if needed)
• ½ tsp pepper
• 1 tsp garlic seasoning salt (to taste)

Instructions

• In a large frying pan, heat up olive oil on medium heat. Add in chopped shallots and chopped pancetta pieces and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
• Add in washed green beans, salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning salt. Sauté for 5-6 minutes stirring occasionally, then add in the chopped garlic.
• Saute for another 2-3 minutes being careful not to burn the garlic. Stir a few more times to make sure everything gets cooked evenly. Add in more salt and pepper if needed. Green beans take a lot of salt so add a little at a time and then taste one to see if it's to your liking. I prefer mine a little more salty so just add a little at a time so you don't over season them.
• Serve hot in a casserole dish or serving platter.

Easy Trail Mix Recipe

Today I’m sharing this yummy trail mix recipe I came up with a few years ago. I went on a girl’s weekend retreat with some of my friends and one of the activities we planned was a hike in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. I wanted to make a treat for everyone so I made this Easy Trail Mix Recipe. It turned out this simple trail mix that I made came in pretty handy! We underestimated the distance of the hike and how cold it was in the eastern part of the mountains during winter and it took us a lot longer to make our way back to the trailhead. We ended up hiking in the dark and in freezing temperatures. Thankfully we didn’t end up lost in the mountains. None of us told any of our husbands where we were going exactly and no one had cell service. We all live on the west side of the Cascade Mountains where it’s not as cold during the winter and we didn’t plan very well.

I’m an experienced hiker and I’m an over-preparer so thank goodness we had some trail mix and phones with flashlights. Not my brightest hiking moment but the good news is, we made it back safe and everyone loved my trail mix!

You can use any type of nuts that you like to make this recipe, but my favorite place to get everything for this recipe is Trader Joe’s. They have a great selection of nuts and chocolate-covered treats that make this trail mix next level. Here are my favorites!

I prefer roasted and salted nuts but you can mix and match any type of nut, roasted, salted, unsalted, raw, or whatever you prefer, the items listed here are my favorites and create the best trail mix.

Chocolate Coconut Covered Almonds

Mini Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Roasted & Salted Pecan Halves

Raw California Walnut Halves & Pieces

Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews

Dry Toasted Pignolies – Pine Nuts

Dry Roasted & Salted Almonds

Pistachios Roasted and Salted

Roasted & Salted Pumpkin Seeds

Roasted & Salted Sunflower Seeds

You can also add peanuts or any other type of nut you like to. I typically double the recipe and it makes a very large amount. I store it in an airtight container and it makes the perfect snack any time of day and satisfies your salty and sweet cravings at the same time.

It’s also great with oatmeal for breakfast or you can add it to some yogurt. You can also leave it out on the counter in a pretty bowl for all the enjoy.

It’s also the perfect treat to share with your hiking friends.

You can put some of the trail mix into a clear treat bag and tie some ribbon around it as a sweet treat to give to your friends and neighbors. They will love you forever if you decide to share! This is also a great Christmas treat to share!

This Trail Mix Recipe is super easy to make and has the perfect balance of Salty and Sweet!

• 2 8 oz bags Roasted & Salted Pecans (Whole or Halves)
• 1 12 oz tub Chocolate Coconut Almonds
• 1 12 oz tub Mini Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
• 1 16 oz bag Raw Walnuts (Halves & Pieces if you prefer)
• 1 16 0z bag Roasted & Salted Cashews (Whole or Halves)
• 2 8 oz bags Dry Toasted Pignolies (Pine Nuts)
• 1 16 oz bag Roasted and Salted Almonds
• 1 16 oz bag Dry Roasted & Salted Pistachios
• 1 16 oz bag Roasted & Salted Pumpkin Seeds
• 1 16 oz bag Roasted & Salted or Unsalted Sunflower Seeds

Instructions

• In an extra large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients in any order.
  2 8 oz bags Roasted & Salted Pecans, 1 12 oz tub Chocolate Coconut Almonds, 1 12 oz tub Mini Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, 1 16 oz bag Raw Walnuts, 1 16 0z bag Roasted & Salted Cashews, 2 8 oz bags Dry Toasted Pignolies (Pine Nuts), 1 16 oz bag Roasted and Salted Almonds, 1 16 oz bag Dry Roasted & Salted Pistachios , 1 16 oz bag Roasted & Salted Pumpkin Seeds, 1 16 oz bag Roasted & Salted or Unsalted Sunflower Seeds
  
• Use a large spoon and gently stir everything together until everything is mixed together well.
  
• Store in an airtight container or you can package them individually for snacks or treats to give away.
  

Notes

I usually double the recipe and it makes a lot! If you store it in an airtight container, it will last for at least three months.

I prefer using Trader Joes products in this recipe but you can use any type of nut or chocolate covered treat. There really is no right or wrong. Trader Joes has a lot of yummy chocolate covered nuts and other goodies that you can mix in as well.

The amounts and types of each item I added is just a guesstimate. If you like more of one kind of nut or like more chocolate covered coconut almonds, feel free to change up the quantities. This is just how I make it and it seems to be a good balance of salty and sweet. I like pecans and pine nuts so I doubled that and my family loves the chocolate coconut almonds so I usually add more of those in. Everyone picks out the things they like first and the chocolate covered items usually go first!
