There is just something so fresh, soft, and inviting about sage green paired with delicate purple hues for spring. This year’s Easter tablescape came together so effortlessly, and it truly feels like a celebration of the season: light, airy, and full of life. I wanted something that felt elevated but still approachable… a table where everyone feels comfortable lingering, laughing, and making memories together.

This design is one of my favorites because it easily transitions from everyday spring gatherings into a beautiful Easter table with just a few thoughtful additions.

Tablecloth & My Signature Garland Centerpiece

For this table, I chose a soft sage green tablecloth that perfectly set the tone for the entire look. It didn’t quite cover my large reclaimed wood trestle table, and honestly, I loved that. That little bit of exposed wood added so much warmth and texture. Sometimes those “imperfect” details end up being the most beautiful part of the table.

Down the center, I created what I call my signature garland centerpiece, a staple in so many of my tablescapes. I love this style because it fills the middle of the table with color and texture while still allowing everyone to see across from each other. I started with a lush eucalyptus garland as my base and layered in:(LINKS BELOW)

1. Soft purple lilacs
2. White Peonies
3. White Apple blossoms
4. Additional eucalyptus stems for fullness

The result is a full, flowing centerpiece that feels organic and effortless, like spring just came inside and settled right onto the table.

Place Setting Details

For the place settings, I kept everything cohesive and soft with layered sage tones in the dinnerware and subtle textures with the table linens.

I started with a white woven placemat to ground each setting, then layered:

I always choose my layers based on the menu; it keeps everything both beautiful and practical. Don’t be afraid to mix and match uses here! Salad plates can double as dessert plates, and bowls are perfect for sweet treats, too.

For the napkin, I used a matching sage green cloth napkin and created a simple accordion fold, then secured it with the sweetest wooden bunny ear napkin ring, such a subtle but charming Easter detail.

To finish the look:

2. Classic silver flatware adds just the right amount of shine

Spring to Easter: Easy Transition Styling

One of my favorite things about this tablescape is how easily it transitions from spring to Easter.

For a more everyday spring look, you can keep it simple with just the florals and greenery. But to bring in that Easter charm, I added:

1. Small ceramic bunny figurines are placed throughout the table
2. A few bunnies tucked right into the garland
3. Antique silver salt and pepper shakers that belonged to my husband’s grandma

Those heirloom pieces are always so special to include. They tell a story and bring such a meaningful layer to the table, something I always encourage.

And truly, the bunnies can work for both spring and Easter… so do whatever feels right for your home and your style. You can always remove the bunnies or other easter decor accents to make it a “spring” only table. I love to set one table for one season and then change things up for Easter or any other celebration I might have.

A Frosty & Elegant Winter Table Setting with Blue, Silver, and White Christmas Table Decor

Each Christmas season, I love creating a tablescape that feels both festive and timeless. This year’s theme was inspired by the cool beauty of light blue paired with silver and white. Together, they create a palette that feels like a peaceful winter morning. I wanted the blue and silver Christmas table decor to coordinate with my Christmas décor throughout the house. The décor features the same soft blues and shimmering silver accents.

For this table, I brought out my especial white and silver fine china. This china was a treasured gift from my husband for our 20th anniversary. The pattern’s elegant detailing adds the perfect touch of sophistication. It makes it the star of this snowy-inspired setting.

The combination of light blue linens, frosted greenery, and silver accents creates a look that’s both elegant and inviting. It is perfect for a refined Christmas dinner or any winter gathering. This enhances the overall feel of blue-and-silver Christmas table decor.

The Centerpiece

For the centerpiece, I layered a cedar garland down the center of the table on top of a light blue linen table runner. I then tucked in frosted eucalyptus, cedar branches, white peonies, blueberries, white frosted berries, and silver pinecones. This mix of textures, snowy greens, berries, and soft white florals gives the table a lush, frosty look without being overly busy.

Here are the links to the items I used in the Centerpiece. Some of them are the exact items and some are very similar. I cannot source the pinecones anymore. However, they are a pinecone pick with three pine cones on a stem and then they are spray painted a silvery taupe color. Because my dining table is long, this garland-style centerpiece works beautifully. It fills the space while still allowing everyone to see and talk to each other easily. Furthermore, I love that this style of blue and silver Christmas table decor centerpiece is versatile. It can stay up all season long, and I can simply swap out dishes, napkins, or accent pieces. This helps to refresh the look for different gatherings.

In the photos, you can see how the light filters through the windows. As it catches the silver pinecones and glassware, it gives everything a soft, snowy shimmer that makes the room glow.

The Place Setting

For each place setting, I used my Lenox Lace Couture china, which has a delicate silver pattern around the edges that ties in perfectly with the silver chargers underneath. The light blue linen placemats and matching napkins, from Solino Home’s Classic Hemstitch Collection, add warmth and softness. Consequently, the look remains cohesive.

Each napkin is finished with a silver reindeer napkin ring, a little nod to the holiday season. The silver flatware complements the tones of the china. The Vera Wang Wedgewood crystal glasses with silver rims, another special gift from my husband, add just the right amount of sparkle to the table.

The layers of china, the scalloped chargers, and the fine silver detailing make each place setting feel refined yet welcoming. Thus, they invite guests to sit down and enjoy the celebration.

The Finishing Details for this Blue and Silver Christmas Table Decor Color Combo

To complete the look, I added two small white ceramic Christmas trees at either end of the garland. Their clean lines and simple design add a subtle wintry touch without overwhelming the table.

You’ll also notice a pair of antique silver salt and pepper shakers on the table. These were passed down from my husband’s grandmother. Using them each Christmas makes me feel as though she and my husband’s grandpa are still part of our family gatherings. It’s those little heirloom pieces that bring so much heart and meaning to my tablescapes.

I’m often asked why I don’t serve food directly on the table. The reason is simple—my dining table is made from reclaimed wood, which stains easily. To protect it and preserve the beautiful tablescape, I prefer to serve our holiday meals buffet-style on our large marble kitchen island. This keeps the table beautiful and functional. Moreover, it makes it easy for everyone to serve themselves without having to pass dishes around.

About the Linens

The linens are from Solino Home’s Classic Hemstitch Collection, one of my go-to favorites. Made from 100% pure European flax, their quality and texture elevate every table I design. The Sky Blue color from this collection perfectly complements the silver and white tones of the dinnerware. This creates a cohesive and elegant look that feels soft and timeless.

One of my favorite things about fall is gathering around a beautifully set table with family and friends. This year, I wanted to create a soft, muted fall tablescape using dusty blue tones paired with warm autumn colors. I love the cozy and inviting feeling it creates, and with just a few simple changes, this table can easily transition from a fall dinner table to a Thanksgiving table! Dusty Blue Fall Tablescape – A Warm and Inviting Color Palette

This dusty blue fall tablescape brings together elegant textures, warm wood tones, and soft seasonal accents. Perfect for hosting throughout the autumn months.

The Centerpiece

For the centerpiece, I started with an ivory linen table runner and layered an olive leaf garland down the center of the table as the base. I love how the darker green tones create a natural and organic feel. To give it more depth and texture, I tucked in some olive branch stems, Rust Garden Rose Stems, Beige and Mauve Garden Rose Stems, Blue Pod and Green Leaf Spray, Cream Hydrangeas and a mix of velvet and natural pumpkins in warm, muted fall colors.

I also added a few Brown Resin Turkeys for a subtle seasonal touch. To add some extra warmth to the table, I used mango wood candleholders with Light Grey Hand-Dipped Tapered Candles and mango wood squirrels The candlelight creates a soft glow that makes the table feel cozy and elegant when lit at night.

To finish off the centerpiece, I filled in any gaps with small pumpkins in different shades and mango wood squirrels. The combination of soft blues, rust, beige, and natural greens makes the entire centerpiece feel layered and intentional.

The Place Setting

For the place settings, I wanted to keep the look soft and elegant but still warm and rustic. I started with mango wood chargers as the base and layered on dusty blue dinnerware. I bought this dinnerware from Target, it’s from the Magnolia Hearth and Hand Collections but I haven’t been able to find the color for a few years now. I linked some other options below though that are similar. I love the contrast between the wood tones and the soft dusty blue — it’s understated but stunning.

I then added beige linen napkins like these or these here for a soft, feminine touch. These add texture and elegance without overpowering the table. Here are some similar napkin rings that are white washed rattan. For glassware, I used brown wine glasses, which tie in beautifully with the warm tones of the centerpiece and chargers.

Beige Linen Napkins

For the Flatware I used a set that had an aged look to it like this one here: Fortessa San Macro Flaware Set. I chose a rustic set to keep everything cohesive and warm. Each place setting feels cozy, layered, and inviting — perfect for gathering around with loved ones.

Accent Details and Thanksgiving Transition

I love adding little touches that make a table feel special. For this tablescape, I used turkey-shaped salt and pepper shakers to bring in a bit of whimsy and nod to the season.

One of the best things about this design is how easy it is to transition from a fall tablescape to a Thanksgiving table.

1. For fall dinners, I kept the look simple with pumpkins, florals, and candles.
2. For Thanksgiving, I added more turkeys, extra pumpkins, and some turkey shaped salt and pepper shakers to transition the table for the Thanksgiving holiday.

You could also swap out napkin rings or layer in personalized place cards for your guests to make it feel extra special.

Final Touches

This dusty blue and muted fall color palette creates a timeless and elegant tablescape that works beautifully all season long. By starting with a simple, layered base of garland, pumpkins, and florals, you can easily build on it for Thanksgiving without having to redesign the entire table.

Fall is here, and it’s the perfect time to embrace the seasons beauty with a cozy and stylish tablescape! For this blog post, I’m sharing my Blue and Harvest Gold Fall Tablescape that’s elegant, versatile, and perfect for transitioning from fall into Thanksgiving. This color palette combines soft navy blue with warm harvest gold, creating a feeling of warmth in my home as we head into the fall season.

Whether you’re hosting a Thanksgiving dinner, a friends-giving, or any casual autumn gathering, I hope this blue and harvest gold tablescape offers some creative inspiration for any of your fall celebrations.

Blue and Harvest Gold Place-Setting: A Balance of Elegance and Warmth

For this tablescape, I created two variations of the place-setting to give options for styling as well as what I was serving. The first includes a bowl on top of the layered plates, perfect for serving soup or salad. The second removes the bowl for a simpler look, showcasing the mix of dishes.

How to Assemble the Place-Setting:

1. Start with a gold placemat as the base. I bought these placemats at Homegoods and can’t find and exact link for them but I linked one above.
2. Add a dinner plate in a soft navy blue or harvest gold.
3. Layer a contrasting salad plate on top. Here’s another option for a harvest gold plate. I linked some other options throughout the post and at the bottom. The salad plates I used are no longer available.
4. Place a blue, white, and gold napkin (paper or cloth) beneath the salad plate to add texture and interest. I used paper this time because I found these napkins that matched the dishes perfectly. I bought these napkins at Homegoods. Here’s a similar one and another option.
5. For the first variation, add a coordinating bowl in blue or harvest gold on top.

Gold flatware and gold-rimmed glasses elevate the look, tying together the warmth of the harvest gold accents with the cooler blue tones. The wine glasses are from Homegoods as well, but here is a similar one.

The Centerpiece: A Garland with Flowers and Pumpkins

The centerpiece is the star of this Blue and Harvest Gold Fall tablescape! I used a base of artificial olive leaf branches and an olive leaf garland, then layered it with of soft, seasonal colors:

1. Harvest gold ranunculus flowers for warmth.
2. Miriya Large Rose Flower Stem in Golden Yellow
3. Cream-colored pear blossoms for a lighter contrast to the darker colors.
4. Blue ranunculus stems and blueberry stems to bring out the navy tones.

To complete the centerpiece, I incorporated small harvest gold bowls filled with acorns, which can double as serving dishes for condiments or desserts. I bought these bowls at a local store so I apologize for not having a link for them. To complete the look I added Gold candlesticks and matching taper candles to add a warm glow, perfect for cozy fall evenings.

Adding Stylish Seasonal Decor

To tie the entire table together, consider adding these complementary seasonal accents:

1. Assorted velvet pumpkins in gold or navy blue. I used my harvest gold velvet pumpkins.
2. Pinecones, acorns or small gourds for a rustic autumn vibe.
3. A table runner in matching shades for added depth.
4. Harvest-themed napkin rings or place cards for a personal touch. I didn’t add these in but these are just some ideas! Be creative and do whatever makes you happy!

Why This Tablescape Is Perfect for Fall and Thanksgiving

The versatility of the blue and harvest gold color palette allows this tablescape to work beautifully throughout the fall season. For Thanksgiving, you can easily swap a few decorative elements—like adding turkey-themed napkin rings or a gratitude board—for a more holiday-specific look. I love having a versatile table that works for all the holidays within a season. Try mixing and matching different plates, napkins or other decor to create different variations throughout the season.

I’m so excited to share one of my favorite tablescapes to date: a Van Gogh White Roses Tablescape inspired by the iconic painting by Vincent Van Gogh. When I discovered these exquisite salad plates on the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s website, I knew I had to design a table around them. There’s something so timeless and calming about Van Gogh’s White Roses—soft whites and greens that feel fresh, elegant, and full of artistic charm. It’s the perfect example of how art-inspired table decor can elevate everyday dining into something extraordinary.

The Place Setting

For the base of this table, I wanted something simple and fresh to let the White Roses salad plates shine. I started with a solid light green dinner plate—it’s subtle, but the soft hue picks up the greens in the artwork and creates a beautiful backdrop. (I bought the dinner plate at HomeGoods years ago so I can’t link them unfortunately but I’ve added some alternative dishes above and at the bottom of the post)

Layered on top are the Van Gogh White Roses salad plates, which serve as the focal point of the place setting. The delicate floral detail feels like a painting brought to life, an instant reminder of how art-inspired table decor can make even a simple meal feel special.

I paired the dishes with neutral white chargers and classic flatware to keep the look timeless. Light ivory colored linen napkins tie in the cream tones of the roses.

The white wooden charger is from Pier1 from years ago and I can’t find a link for it. You could use any wooden charger or this whitewashed wood charger if you like this look.

The Centerpiece

The centerpiece is where this tablescape really comes alive. I wanted to create something lush yet low enough to keep the conversation flowing across the table. Tall arrangements can be beautiful, but I prefer something that allows guests to connect and converse easily.

To create this look, I started with a 5-foot greenery garland as the base. I layered in additional greenery stems to give it more texture and movement. Then came the flowers: off-white roses and creamy peonies mixed with soft filler greenery to mimic the romantic feel of Van Gogh’s painting. This garland-style centerpiece runs the length of the table and brings a natural, organic element that feels both casual and elegant.

The best part? This type of garland centerpiece works for any season—you can add seasonal touches like Easter bunnies in spring or swap in pumpkins for fall, making it a versatile option for any art-inspired table decor.

Finishing Touches

To complete the look, I added a few carefully chosen accessories. Elegant candlesticks with slender taper candles add height and soft lighting without blocking sightlines. I used different shades of green for the taper candles, but you could easily change them seasonally—pastels for spring, deeper tones for fall.

Because this table was designed with Easter in mind, I included a few small bunny figurines, bunny rabbit place-card holders, and spring-inspired accessories, but they’re easily removed if you’d like to use this setting for another occasion or different season. That’s the beauty of versatile art-inspired table decor—by changing just a few pieces, you can adapt it year-round. For Fall you could add in some velvet pumpkins or any type of pumpkin or fall decoration.

For me, tablescaping is about more than pretty dishes and flowers; it’s about creating moments. There’s something so special about gathering around a beautifully set table, sharing food and conversation with the people you love. Centerpiece: Bringing Autumn Indoors

The centerpiece is the heart of any tablescape, and for this fall-inspired setting, I started with a base of two autumn leaf garlands. The vibrant mix of warm autumn colors in the leaves sets the perfect foundation. To add depth and texture, I used ivory berries and rust-colored peonies, which provide a beautiful contrast against the rich foliage. For an extra touch of elegance, I added some leafy branches here and here, Eucalyptus Fall Leaf Spray in coordinating hues. Layering the leafy garlands as the base and then adding in the berries, branches, and flowers is a great way to fill in the gaps and holes in the garland. This helps make it full and is the perfect centerpiece that also allows for easy conversation across the table because it doesn’t block the view of the other guests.

To ground the entire arrangement, I layered a simple yet stylish table runner underneath the garland centerpiece. The result is a lush, layered centerpiece that feels both abundant and inviting—ideal for capturing the spirit of the season.

Place-Settings: A Pop of Pumpkin Perfection

When it comes to setting the table, the dinnerware you choose can make a significant impact. For this fall tablescape, I opted for my favorite pumpkin-themed dinner plates. These were a great find at HomeGoods about 5 years ago so I don’t have a link for them. The playful yet elegant design perfectly complements the fall theme. To add a striking contrast, I layered orange colored salad plates on top of the dinner plates. (The ones I have are the Havana Collection from Anthropologie but they are discontinued, here’s an alternative salad plate option.)

This combination not only highlights the rich colors of the season but also creates a visually appealing contrast that makes the dinnerware pop against the rest of the table decor.

With the Pumpkin dinnerware, this tablescape would also work as a Halloween table. Since I usually make my homemade Chili Recipe for Halloween, adding the matching pumpkin bowls to the place setting is an easy and simple way to change it up. Additional Table Styling: Rustic Elegance

To transition to Thanksgiving, I placed some Brown Resin Turkeys that bring a rustic vibe and charm to the setting. These turkeys can easily transition into your Thanksgiving decor, making them a versatile addition to your fall harvest tablescape.

To complete the look for Thanksgiving to the table, I incorporated rustic wood candleholders topped with ivory taper candles. The soft glow of the candles adds an inviting warmth and ambiance that is perfect for cozy fall evenings. These simple yet elegant touches are the final elements that make this tablescape perfect for the entire fall season.

Seamless Transition to Thanksgiving and Halloween

One of my favorite aspects of this fall harvest tablescape is its versatility. With just a few easy additions or changes, you can seamlessly transition this setup for all the different fall holidays. For Thanksgiving, consider adding a few more themed pieces, like pumpkin or turkey-shaped salt and pepper shakers or personalized place cards. For Halloween, the pumpkin-themed dishes already lend themselves well to the occasion—simply add a few spooky elements like small gourds or black candles to set the mood. When I stumbled upon these adorable black and purple skeleton plates at TJ Maxx, I instantly knew they would be perfect for my spooky Halloween tablescape this year.

The beautiful table linens from the Solino Home Fringe Collection perfectly complemented the dishes and other elements I chose.

The Spooky Place-Setting

To create an inviting and textured place setting, I layered two placemats: a rectangular one as the base, topped with a round one featuring scalloped edges. This layering added depth and interest to each setting.

I used a light purple scalloped charger to highlight the charming skeleton dinner and salad plates. The napkins were wrapped with black spider web napkin rings, adding a touch of spookiness to the setup. I completed the look with smoky black goblets and sleek black flatware, enhancing the overall dark and spooky theme.

The Spooky Centerpiece and Table Decor

The centerpiece and additional decorations played a significant role in bringing the spooky tablescape to life. A purple table runner from Solino Home ran down the center of the table, anchoring a black cauldron filled with a dramatic arrangement of black flowers, branches, and berries. This striking centerpiece became the focal point of the table, setting a mysterious and enchanting tone. To add more character to the tablescape, I included a variety of black and white Halloween dolls, figurines, and black candlesticks. Velvet pumpkins in shades of black and white added a soft yet spooky touch. To top it all off, a black trick-or-treat sign and some black metal crows provided the perfect finishing touches, tying together the spooky Halloween theme beautifully.

This Black and Purple Skeleton Tablescape is one of my favorites. It’s a charming and spooky setup that stands out with its unique color scheme and intricate details. I can’t wait for my guests to enjoy this stylish Halloween dining experience!

You never realize how many tables you have to decorate and set until you plan a wedding! Today I’m sharing all the details of all the tables I decorated for my daughter’s fall wedding. I saved a lot of money doing this part myself and I love how everything turned out! Using fall colors for the fall wedding tablescapes and decorated table areas was one of my favorite things! Check out all the decorated tables below!

Table Centerpieces

The Long Tables

For the long tables, I used sheer ivory table runners down the middle. I ordered fresh eucalyptus garlands from a floral shop that were premade and this saved me a lot of time. I then added in some of the faux fall flowers into the garlands to carry over the same theme as I was using in the round tables. I added in some framed photos of the happy couple, gold mercury glass votive candles and the table number. We also created a QR code and printed it out onto little cards and placed those on the table so everyone could share their photos or videos from the day with the bride and groom.

The Round Table Centerpieces

For the round tables, I made these centerpieces ahead of time. All of the flowers and greenery are artificial and are from my fall collection in my online store. I will share the sources at the bottom of the post. I also used tablecloths on the round tables that we rented through the venue along with the napkins. The tablecloths were a creamy white color and the napkins were a peachy pink color that went well with the fall wedding color palette my daughter had chosen.

I made the centerpieces ahead of time so that I could take them to the venue and set them on the tables. I arranged them in gold compotes and since they were made with faux flowers and greenery, I didn’t have to worry about them dying. I made them a week ahead of the wedding and I’m so glad I did that!

The Welcome Table

I decorated a few tables at the entrance to the venue welcoming the guests and a gift table. For the welcome table, I added a custom guest book that I had made from all their engagement photos. Each page had a photo and guests could sign all the different pages and wish the couple well. I also put some other decorations on the table and more framed photos of the couple.

Next to the guest book table we hung a welcome sign (template also from Etsy linked at the bottom) on a copper frame that I ordered off of Amazon and then I spray painted it gold. Next to the table, we set H & M marquee letters with lights that we rented next to the welcome table.

The Indoor Reception

Mixing Long Tables with Round Tables

We used a mix of long tables and round tables and I really loved having the two options. Both table options looked so beautiful and the overall layout of the tables look so lovely. I also decorated the chandelier above all the tables with the same faux florals and greenery that I used in the table centerpieces.

The Place-Settings

For the place settings, we opted for gold chargers, white dinner plates, and gold flatware. We were able to rent this from the venue which was super helpful. I made menu cards and table numbers using a template I got from Etsy (see link below). I bought the template and was able to add in all the details and print it out at the UPS store which was super easy. (I also got the welcome sign from the same Etsy shop) I added a silk ribbon under the menu card and then layered the napkins under the dinner plate to complete the look. Super simple, yet still elegant for our fall wedding tablescape.

The Buffet Table

For the dinner, we chose to do the buffet-style option as that was more affordable than the plated dinner. We also opted for a charcuterie table with a butterboard for the guests to nibble on while the wedding party did their wedding photos. I was so busy making sure everything was going as planned that I never even saw the charcuterie table or butter board so I’m so glad the photographer took pictures of it all!

I kept the decorations very simple on the food tables by layering some greenery, decorative signs, and pink table runners. I also added a lantern on the larger table with a white pillar candle.

The Reception Tables

The Queso Cheese Fountain Table

For the reception, the bride and groom wanted a queso cheese fountain with tortilla chips to go along with the bite-sized appetizers and desserts. Let’s just say it was a hit!

The Drink Table

We set up a soda/drink bar and everyone could make their own drinks! We had a menu with some different soda concoctions for people to make and I added some flowers to this table on the bar overhead.

Bride and Groom Table and Backdrop

We set a table just for the bride and groom. It was one of the longer tables so I decorated it with the same eucalyptus garland, sheer table runner, and flowers and then we added the Mr. & Mrs. signs that I also purchased from Hobby Lobby. This created a beautiful accent for our fall wedding tablescapes.

I wanted a backdrop behind the bride and groom so I used these two backdrops made out of old pallet wood. A friend of mine made them for me about eight years ago for my oldest son’s wedding and they have come in very handy! I use them all the time and they also worked out great to create this darling backdrop to frame the bride and groom table by adding photos of the couple from their engagement photos to gold frames of differing sizes and then hung them up on the wood backdrop. I then added pink ribbon behind them to make it look like they were hung by the ribbon. It turned out so cute!

My daughter wanted a neon sign so I ordered one from Etsy (link below) and we hung that in the center. I thought this was so darling and creative and the couple loved it!

The Watercolor Art Table

One of the most unique things we did during the wedding reception was to hire an artist to paint a live watercolor portrait of the bride and groom. The artist’s name is Drew Harris. He is based out of Idaho but as far as I know, he will travel. His info is linked here: Live Watercolor Artist

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I adore flower farms! Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting my friend Shannon DeHart’s breathtaking Chateau Monette Flower Farm near Payson, Utah. Shannon and I became friends through our Instagram accounts, and when she invited me to visit her farm, I couldn’t resist. My mom, who also shares my love for flowers, was visiting, so we decided to make the trip together. Shannon’s farm is now the location where we host an annual flower farm dinner party with friends!

The Farm

Chateau Monette Flower Farm is a true gem nestled in the hills of West Mountain near Payson, Utah. Shannon and her husband Jared manage the 80-acre farm, which boasts a stunning variety of cut flowers. Shannon’s journey began with a few hundred lavender plants back in 2012, and since then, her passion for growing flowers has only grown. Today, she shares the beauty of her blooms with others, creating a haven where nature’s splendor thrives.

Shannon is not just a talented gardener and flower farmer but also a devoted mother of nine. She loves teaching her children the value of hard work and the joys of the outdoors. Her flower farm is a place of growth, learning, and sharing the divine beauty of nature. Shannon welcomes the public to her farm with U-Pick, weddings, and other events. She is also opening a new farm shop where she will be hosting workshops and gatherings like our flower farm dinner party.

Hosting a Dinner Party

After our visit, Shannon and I became fast friends and decided to host a dinner for our friends at her farm. Our initial plan was to dine in the middle of the flower field, but Mother Nature had other ideas. As we were setting up, the wind picked up, and a brief rain shower forced us to move our tables into the greenhouse. Despite the weather, Shannon and I proved to be a fantastic team! She crafted beautiful centerpieces for the tables, while I brought the dinnerware and food.

The Invitations

The invitations were from an Etsy shop called The Printable Party and I absolutely love them! Shannon grows the prettiest dahlia’s so I thought a dahlia invitation would be perfect. The invitations are customizable templates that you add in your own details and then print them out, text, or email them. I love this as it makes it super easy and is so inexpensive!

The Centerpieces

Shannon made the centerpieces from all the flowers she grows on the farm. She arranged them in gold compotes and they were the perfect addition to the rest of the tablescape.

The Place-Settings and Tablescapes

For the place-settings, I chose a gold and white theme, mixing new and antique dinnerware. I used elegant gold and silver flatware, and white napkins with gold polka dots.

The Menu

I spent the day preparing some of my favorite homemade recipes and to say that everyone loved them was an understatement. I made a homemade charcuterie board for a starter, soup and salad for the main dish, my yummy braided french bread, and blackberry cobbler for dessert.

My Homemade Chicken Corn Chowder (recipe coming soon to the blog) is so good and so easy to make. My favorite part is using fresh corn on the cob. The sweetness of the corn compliments the other savory flavors in the soup.

Cutting Flowers

After a delightful dinner, we ventured out into the flower field to cut flowers. Shannon and I shared some of our flower-arranging tips with our friends, and everyone created stunning arrangements to take home. The evening was truly magical, with a beautiful sunset casting a warm glow over the fields as we worked.

This has become a tradition with our friend group and everyone looks forward to it each year. For the dress code, we ask everyone to wear a dress, a sun hat, and shoes that can go into the flower field.

Our friends couldn’t stop raving about the incredible time they had. Shannon and I felt so grateful for each other and for this wonderful group of ladies who made the night so special. Their appreciation and joy made it all worthwhile.

This flower farm dinner party has become an annual tradition, and we are thrilled to be hosting another one in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details about our 2024 dinner soon! Hello friends! The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and there’s nothing I love more than celebrating this patriotic holiday with family and friends. This year, I’ve created a festive and Patriotic Tablescape for the Fourth of July featuring red and blue dinnerware from the esteemed Portuguese company, Bordallo Pinheiro, which has been crafting exquisite pieces for 140 years.

I’ve mixed and matched pieces from the Fantasy Collection and the Rua Nova Collection to bring this red, white, and blue patriotic tablescape to life for our upcoming family gathering. Setting a pretty table in these vibrant colors is always a joy, and I’m thrilled to share the details with you!

The Patriotic Tablescape Place Setting

For each place setting, I started with a red charger plate from the Bordallo Pinheiro Fantasy Collection. On top of that, I placed an Indigo dinner plate from the Rua Nova Collection, followed by a dessert plate, also from the Fantasy Collection, to tie in the red. The layered effect of these stunning plates creates a visually appealing and patriotic look.

To complement the dinnerware, I used sapphire blue goblets which add an elegant touch to the table. The red-handled flatware brings in more of that vibrant red color, perfectly matching the charger and dessert plate.

For the base, I chose hyacinth chargers, adding a rustic element that ties in beautifully with the vintage waterpots and candlestick holders used in the centerpieces. The blue and white checkered cloth napkins add a classic, cozy feel to each place setting, making the table feel inviting and festive.

The Centerpieces

Creating the centerpieces was one of my favorite parts of setting up this Patriotic Tablescape for the Fourth of July. I used vintage Nepali waterpots as vases and arranged these beautiful, high-end faux flowers, greenery, and berries, adding a natural and lush look to the table. The center arrangement is a large, eye-catching centerpiece that creates height and draws attention to the center of the table.

The Blue Ranunculus Stem is from Hobby Lobby.

On either side of the main centerpiece, I placed two smaller waterpots that include red, white, and blue patriotic felt flags. To add an extra touch of Americana, I included felt red, white, and blue USA picks in the larger centerpiece.

For some added charm and color, I incorporated rustic candleholders with red and blue taper candles. The flickering candlelight enhances the overall ambiance, making the table feel warm and inviting.

Finishing Touches for a Patriotic Tablescape

To complete the Patriotic Tablescape for the Fourth of July, I used a red and white paper table runner from Hester & Cook, which adds a playful yet sophisticated element to the table. I also scattered some red glass mini salt and pepper shakers around the table, adding a touch of vintage charm and practicality.
