I wanted to gather the women in my life who have inspired or uplifted me and what better way to do that then hosting a Mother’s Day luncheon.

For the decorations, I went with a pastel color palette and set three different tables and a separate dessert table.

The Pink and White Table

For the Pink Table, I used fresh eucalyptus and pink spray roses to create the garland and centerpiece. I layered the garland on top of a white table runner. I typically use this table outdoors in the summer but it works great for the indoors too.

For the Pink Place-setting, I used pink and white dishes, a pink napkin, silver flatware, and glass goblets.

The Robins Egg Blue Table

For the Robbins Egg Blue Table, I used a burlap table runner and created a garland with faux greenery and flowers. This was a variation of my spring and easter tablescape. Click here to see the Easter version.

The place-setting consisted of a solid robins egg blue charger, a polka dot dinner plate, and a solid teal plate. I used wood napkin rings that tied into the rustic table and hyacinth placemat.

The Lavender and Green Table

The day before the luncheon my mom and I went out exploring and looking for lilac bushes. We found some in an abandoned lot and snipped some branches off for the lavender and green table. They smelled amazing!

The beautiful purple lilacs my mom and I found driving around the back roads of Utah.

To create the Lavender and Green Table I used a hyacinth solid placemat, a white charger, green dinner plate, and a lavender salad plate. The ruffled napkin matched the green plates perfectly.

I used some of the lilacs to create a small centerpiece and laid one of the green ruffled napkins in the middle to break up the stark white of the tablecloth.

The Menu

I planned the menu around how many people were coming. I like to make my own food for my parties but you can certainly cater it. Because I had about thirty people coming, I decided to make my Homemade Lasagna which is easy to make and serves a large amount of people. I made the sauce the night before so all I had to do was assemble the lasagna and bake it.

For the salad, I made Simple Tomato Cucumber Salad.

I love this recipe because it’s so light and so easy to make. It’s a perfect complement to the rich lasagna. I also served some rustic french bread . I didn’t make my own this time but my Braided French Bread recipe is to die for!

The Dessert Table

For dessert, I asked my sweet friend Ashely Klaja, also known as Living BeaUtahfully to make the dessert for the gathering. She made the most beautiful cakes and cupcakes. My favorite is her churro cupcakes!

Ashely is one the most talented cake baker/decorators I’ve ever seen. Her cakes are works of art and they all taste amazing too!

For the desert table I used my pastel colored cake stands and a pink vase with some faux flowers for some added decoration. I also added some small bud vases with fresh flowers and added the flowers and eucalyptus to the top of the pink ombre cake. This is a great example of how you can mix fresh and faux flowers in your table decor.

This was an amazing day and it felt so wonderful to be surrounded by so many women that uplift and inspire me. I also loved that my mom, daughter, and daughter-in-law (who was pregnant with our first grand baby Quinn) were able to be there. Mothers are what make the world go around. I’m so glad I could gather these amazing women together and share a a beautiful lunch with them.

Lavender and Teal Spring Tablescape

I’m sharing all the details of this beautiful Lavender and Teal Spring Tablescape that I set for Sunday dinner a few weeks ago. The darker purple and teal colored flowers were the inspiration behind this tablescape. I love mixing and matching dishes to come up with new place settings and this tablescape came together so beautifully.

The Place-setting

For the place setting on this spring tablescape, I mixed and matched different sets of dishes I already had. I started with a charger, then layered a dinner and salad plate on top. When I set a table, I think about what I’ll be serving for dinner, and that’s how I decide on how many dishes to use in the place setting.

I love the mix of the solid charger on the bottom, the polka dot dinner plate in the middle, and another solid plate on top for the salad.

I also chose a solid-colored napkin and a natural hyacinth placemat.

The Garland Centerpiece

When I serve buffet style, which I did here, I will usually create a garland centerpiece for the middle of the table. Here, I used a base greenery garland and then layered in the faux flowers into it. I love the contrast between the dark purple and lavender flowers and the different shades of green in the garland.

I used a burlap table runner underneath the garland.

Last but not least, I added teal candlesticks and lavender candles to the table.

Spring, Easter, and Mother’s Day

I hope you enjoyed seeing all the details of my teal and lavender spring tablescape! One thing I love about this one is that it can be easily transformed with a few tweaks for Easter and Mother’s Day! For Easter, I just changed out the napkin rings and added some white bunnies into the garland and onto the table. For Mother’s Day, I will leave it as is! I’m always happy when I can make tablescapes work for multiple occasions and holidays!

Lavender and White Easter Tablescape

Welcome friends! I’m excited to share my Elegant Lavender and White Easter Tablescape with you!

If you arrived here from  Home With Holliday, I’m so excited you’re here! Holliday Johnson “Holly” is Home With Holliday and I’m the other Holly at Home With HollyJ! We have become good friends after finding each other on Instagram! Holliday loves entertaining and setting a beautiful table as much as I do. We are so alike it’s crazy! It’s so hard to believe that we will most likely be celebrating Easter without all our extended family due to social distancing and stay-at-home orders due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s not looking like we will be able to attend church services on Easter Sunday or gather with our large family for Easter dinner. I know we will make the best of it and find a way to make it a special day. No matter what happens though, one thing is for sure! My Easter table will be set and ready to host whoever is here with us.

I have really been on a lavender kick lately! I keep finding the most beautiful lavender-colored dishes which inspired this Lavender and White Easter Tablescape. I bought these Anthropologie plates over the summer and have been waiting for the right time to use them. I think you’ll love this tablescape just as much as I do.

The Inspiration for this Tablescape

What inspired this Lavender Easter Tablescape? Two reasons! First. it’s Easter (and spring) and a perfect time to use this color combo, second, I had another tablescape photoshoot using these lavender and white poppy dishes for a collaboration I was doing for a ceramic company. I figured I’d get the most out of the centerpiece arrangement I made for that photoshoot.

Look at the flowers on the dishes I received from Bico Ceramics! The anemones look very similar to their Poppy dishes. These dishes are out of stock at the moment but when they are back, I’ll link them here for you!

I was able to get some fresh anemone flowers from my friend Amy’s beautiful flower farm while I was home in Washington. These flowers look very similar to the flowers on the dishes. (Laughing Goat Flower Farm)

Amy is a dear friend of mine and her farm is near my other home in Washington. She cut the anemones the morning I was flying back to Utah and I carried them on the plane with me for my shoot the next day. I was so happy that they lasted long enough for me to create and photograph this Easter tablescape. It’s such a blessing to have a friend who grows amazing flowers and shares them with you. My photo doesn’t do either the dishes or the flowers justice!

Okay! Now back to the tablescape! I just had to share a few of those photos of the other table!

The Centerpiece

I created an asymmetrical centerpiece for the middle of the table using the anemones from Amy’s farm and then filled in the rest with store-bought flowers.

Since my table is so large, it can feel a little empty in the middle with just one large centerpiece. To fill in the space some, I pulled out some artificial greenery and layered it on either side of the centerpiece. I then added a few faux flower stems to it. Can you tell the difference between the fresh and faux flowers? I often mix fresh and faux flowers depending on what I’m doing and if what I need isn’t in season. The good thing about faux is they never die and you can use them many times over if you take care of them and store them properly. I still prefer fresh flowers of course, but sometimes you just use what you have!

Lastly, I added the white Easter sign from Krumpets Home Decor in the middle of the table and tucked some small white ceramic bunnies throughout the garland. I then added these bunny salt and pepper shakers on either end of the table. Right when I was finished setting the table and getting ready to photograph it, the rustic candlesticks I had ordered from Magnolia arrived! Just in time! I love how they tie into the rustic silverware I used.

I forgot to mention the table runner! It’s actually two of them! (HomeGoods) My table is so long that I have to buy two of them usually so that they hang over the edge. You don’t have to have them hang over the edge though and one will work too. I just like to change it up and these lace table runners are so pretty. Another white element in the table to compliment the lavender dishes and tie into the charger and napkin rings.

The Place-setting

The dishes are from Anthropologie (linked below~~ the photos are incorrect in the source section so just click through the photos that look like multi-colored napkins) and they are even more stunning in person. I started with a white wood charger then layered the dinner and salad plate on top.

You can see the details of the plates in this close-up shot. I love how the white charger compliments the dishes. I used my silver rustic silverware which goes so nicely with the rustic reclaimed wood table and candlesticks. To make it Easter themed, I used these adorable bunny ear napkin rings from Krumpets Home Decor. I love how the napkin ring is flat on the bottom so it stands up once you slide the napkin in and this is one fun element that the kids will love! How cute are these?

The Easter Tablescape that Transitions to a Spring Tablescape

One thing I always try to do when decorating for any holiday is to decorate for the season too. I try to create my tablescapes to be versatile to save time and expense. I’ll create a garland centerpiece for the table for Spring and then I’ll add different items into the garland for Easter. When Easter is over, I can take out the Easter decor and leave it as is for Spring or I can change up the dishes or napkins for Mother’s Day. So many possibilities!

Here’s an example of one I did for Spring, St. Patrick’s Day, and Mother’s Day! This is one of my favorites! This one here is one I made for Winter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day! I created eleven different tablescapes with the same centerpiece garland!

Also, here are some other tablescapes I’ve created that all have a lavender theme. I didn’t realize how much I liked lavender until I noticed how much I’ve used it in my tablescapes this past year. I created this first one for a Yankee Candle collaboration in the fall but this would work perfectly for Easter and Spring too!

Create a Simple Lavender Inspired Centerpiece

I love entertaining and there is nothing better than a warm summer night in the Pacific Northwest and having my girlfriends over for an outdoor dinner party. I created this simple lavender inspired centerpiece for a dinner party I hosted in my backyard a few weeks back.

For this dinner party, we were celebrating my sweet friend Gina’s birthday. I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare so I kept this one simple and sweet. One way to keep it simple is to create a centerpiece out of potted plants that you can purchase at a grocery store.

Choose a Theme or Color Palette

I always choose a theme or pick a color palette based on something I see that inspires me. When I was planning this party, I had gone to Trader Joe’s to see what flowers they had and to shop for ingredients for the food I was planning to make. As soon as I saw these potted lavender plants and the smaller flowering plants in purple and lavender containers, I knew what my theme was going to be. Fresh, locally sourced lavender plants along with some smaller purple and white flowering plants in varying shades were the perfect pairing.

I like to choose my color and then I vary the shades of that color, usually using 3 different shades. This also adds depth and character to any tablescape. Here I chose the color lavender for the centerpiece inspiration and then I’ve varied the shades of lavender and purple throughout.

Create Different Heights and Layers

When creating a centerpiece, you want something that is lower to the table so you can see your guests and converse during dinner. I chose two of the taller lavender plants to create some height and then I used the smaller containers of flowers to fill in-between the larger containers.

To add layers into the centerpiece, I added in some rustic candlesticks and some votive candles that were wrapped in burlap. This adds texture and variety to the centerpiece as well as fills in some of the gaps and holes. I also used a long, sheer, ivory colored table runner and I layered everything on top of.

Using a table runner is not required but it adds another layer of color and texture and helps fill up the middle of the table. I always use a corresponding color in the palette I’ve chosen for the table runner. The dinnerware has some cream or ivory shades and it ties in with the dinnerware.

The Place-settings – Lavender and Green

For the place-settings, I chose wicker placemats and wooden napkin rings that matched well with the brownish colors in the dinnerware. I used silver flatware and a solid green napkin that matched the salad plate. I like to stack different plates in different shades and match the napkin to the stack of dishes.

You can see in the dish stack that I also varied the shades of green I used. I did this in the centerpiece and in the dishes and tied them all together with some warmer rustic elements.

I picked the wine I was serving based on the color of the wine bottles. The wine bottles had purple labels so of course, those were the picks for the dinner party! I may be the only person that picks wine based on what the label looks like! My friends all liked the wine so I think it worked out!

I hope this simple lavender inspired centerpiece inspires you to host your own dinner party with your besties! One of the reasons I enjoy hosting these dinner parties is that it creates connections and memories. Life is too short to not connect with the people you care about and I enjoy taking the time to create something warm and inviting for my friends who lift and inspire me each day.

You don’t have to be a professional floral arranger or have any experience with flowers. This is something everyone can do. Just pick a theme or color palette and make a simple centerpiece out of store bought flower pots and be creative! Most importantly, take time to gather and cherish the moments with good friends and good food!

P.S. At the end of the evening, I sent each of the girls home with one of the smaller potted plants as as a little token of my appreciation for their friendship. Your centerpiece can also become a little gift!

This Pink and Gray beautiful Easter Tablescape was so much fun!  Believe it or not, the inspiration behind this adorable table came from the bunny ear napkin rings and the gray easter bunnies.

The Place-Setting

For the place-setting I started with a gray and white round placemat. Next, I used off-white chargers, pink dinner plate, a white salad plate, and a smaller pink dessert plate.

For the napkin, I used a darker pink napkin with the bunny ear napkin ring and laid it sideways to showcase the napkin ring.

I chose gold rimmed glasses and gold flatware because the charger has some gold accents and tied all the layers together.

Some of the items are more formal and some are more whimsical. It was fun to mix some of these elements to create this charming and unique Easter table.

The Centerpiece Garland

For the centerpiece, I created a garland out of faux greenery on top of a pink ruffled table runner.

First, I laid a long garland on top of the table runner.

I then layered in faux eucalyptus stems and pink and white faux flowers. I chose to use peonies, roses, and apple blossom stems for the type of faux flowers.

There are some quality faux flowers that look so real you can’t tell the difference!

To complete the Easter table I nestled in some large pink metallic easter eggs into the garland and added the two large gray easter bunnies at either end.

This was such a fun table to create! I hope you enjoy it as well!

I really enjoy hosting parties and bringing people together. It’s just something I’ve always done, and I’m just wired that way.

When I moved to Utah, I picked a CrossFit gym that was close by and started going every day. The ladies at this gym were so warm and friendly and welcomed me with open arms. To show my appreciation months later, I invited them all to my home for lunch.

What transpired was something so special that I did not expect it! Everyone started sharing things that were deep and personal, and I realized that we had all bonded over some life experiences we all had in common. There were tears shed and expressions of love, understanding, and compassion for one another.

Since that time, we have gathered every so often and continued this tradition. One of my favorite memories of our first gathering was when I went to do the laundry the following day, and I noticed that all of the cloth napkins we’d used for lunch had makeup stains from when we were all crying.

It was a reminder of the tender moments when we shared some deeply personal things we had experienced in our lives. I smile as I think of that moment, and I am so grateful to be surrounded by such an amazing group of strong women.

I’ve come to love every one of these ladies, and so I was excited about hosting a Galentine’s Day party in honor of Valentine’s Day. I wanted it to be extra special. I decided to do a brunch because I wanted to make heart-shaped waffles and heart-shaped butter. My friend Summer Adams made heart-shaped waffles for me when I visited her in the fall, and I knew I had to make them for some type of Valentine’s celebration.

I hope you enjoy all the little details of this fun party, and I hope it inspires you to gather with those special gals in your life and share something meaningful with each other. Good friends make our lives richer in so many ways, so why not have a party to celebrate each other!!

Brunch for me is having both sweet and savory options. For the sweet, I made whole wheat heart-shaped waffles with heart-shaped butter, fresh fruit, and homemade coconut syrup. For the savory, I made sautéed red and Yukon gold potatoes with caramelized onions, scrambled eggs with onions, green and yellow peppers, heart-shaped bacon drizzled with maple syrup (a mix of sweet and savory), and of course, the chocolate cake and hot cocoa bar for dessert! For drinks, I served Jordan Winery’s 2015 white wine, sparkling cider, and Orange Juice.

The Cake

I really wanted to make a semi-naked cake for this party. I decided to make a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. I found these recipes on Pinterest and they were both great. I found these chocolate XOXO’s at Target and knew they’d be perfect for the top of the cake. I added pink spray roses and some eucalyptus to the top and bottom of the cake. I love how it turned out. Thank you to my friend Christina and my daughters cute friend Jensen both for helping me learn how to make this type of cake! I’ll do a separate post for this soon and share what I learned! It’s not as hard as it looks to make this type of cake. You just need to know a few of the tricks and techniques to create a stunning cake.

I created this pretty pink and white Valentines tablescape for a family Valentines Day dinner. We always have Sunday dinner with our family and friends and I enjoy cooking for everyone, This tradition of sharing a meal at least once a week helps keeps our family close. Our children are all in college in Utah and when we are at the Highland house, we always try to get everyone together. I love that my grown children still want to come home and spend time with us.

I often use faux flowers for the garland or centerpiece on my table but when I went to the wholesale flower market and saw these beautiful pink garden roses, I knew I wanted to create a centerpiece with them. They were so beautiful and smelled amazing too! I grabbed a few other bunches of pinkish berries and some greenery to add in with the roses and some fresh eucalyptus to lay inbetween the candles.

Yellow/Pink Peony Stem

I used a rose gold compote to arrange the centerpiece in, rose gold candlesticks, and a pink napkin under the centerpiece (I’m thinking that I should have ironed it!!). Garden roses are my very favorite rose. They remind me of peonies which are one of my favorite flowers. Roses bloom longer than peonies thank goodness and it was a treat to find them in February.

For the place settings, I had found these pink dishes from Target (they no longer have them but I linked some similar ones below) and I layered them with some white plates I already had. The placemats were a HomeGoods find and I used my everyday silverware and goblets.

To fill up the empty space in the middle the table, I used some pink vases and rose gold votives. I really try to use things I have so I don’t have to buy a ton of stuff every time I do a tablescape. Over time, I’ve collected quite a few things but many of them are inexpensive and from places like HomeGoods and Target, I am always on the lookout for things that I can use in my home decor and tablescapes. Part of the fun is the hunt! Antique stores are also a great place to find vintage things that add so much character to your home.

I hope you feel inspired to create your own family Valentines dinner and celebrate the love you have for your own family. Try going around the table and taking turns sharing something you love about each person. It’s a fun way to create loving memories within your family and strengthen your connection with each other.

My talented friends and I have been busy decking out our homes for the holidays, sharing recipes, and creating beautiful tablescapes to host our friends and family. We all love entertaining and hosting parties so we’ve put together another blog post for our “Holiday Hosting at Home” series. Today we are sharing what we’ve been doing over the past few weeks including some creative ideas for Christmas decor and tables. I also share a lasagna recipe that is a family favorite and great any time of the year.

Home with Holliday

Holliday created this beautiful Winter White Snowflake Christmas Table Setting for her neighborhood progressive dinner. She created a beautiful centerpiece out of fresh greens and added in hurricanes, silver sprays, winter white ornaments, and glittered white trees. Click here to see all the details. Next, Holliday created this second tablescape for another holiday party she was hosting and continued with the same snowflake-theme but mixed it up to coordinate with the mixed metallic color palette. This table setting is just as beautiful as the first one and I really like how she adds gold into the mix. Click here to see how Holliday created this festive holiday table. It’s truly stunning!

To Have to Host

Lory created two different holiday tables. The first was for her husbands office party. She shares how there is something appealing about the way people in Scandinavia decorate for the holidays. Her Nordic Christmas Table is elegantly minimalist, yet still festive. I am part Danish and Swedish so this table really speaks to me. She used fresh greenery, twigs, branches, and antler candlesticks for the centerpiece. She finishes it off with some silver mercury glass votive candles. This modern Scandinavian tablescape creates a nordic Christmas to remember. Click here for all the details.

Next, Lory shares her White Winter Wonderland Bruch table that she created for a family gathering. She kept the decor neutral with lots of white and green making this a great tablescape of all season long. I am a big fan of creating something that can be used for an entire season. Lory is fortunate to live in Arizona where she can entertain outdoors all winter long. I love how she uses fresh greens, giant sugar pinecones, and white dinnerware. Home with Holly J

This past week I shared my Christmas Home Tour and how I decked out my Highland, Utah home for the holidays. I hosted a few parties including a progressive dinner and my first annual cookie exchange. See the details of both my indoor and outdoor decorations and my winter tablescape.  My favorite addition this year was the outdoor obelisks that I placed inside my flower pots and filled them with pines cones and fresh greenery and attached a fresh wreath and ribbon to the top. Next I shared one of my families favorite recipes. My homemade Lasagna made with an authentic italian bolognese sauce. This recipe is great anytime of year! Living Room

Today I’m sharing the parts of my home that I decorated for Christmas in the Highland home. Christmas is a special time of year and the tree is my favorite thing. I’ve always enjoyed decorating for the holidays and I love the warmth it creates in my home. At night when the tree is all lit up, there’s a special feeling that is created. Every year I look forward to decorating the house and creating memories with my family.

In the living room, I decorated my 10′ flocked long needle pine tree and used different shades of blue, silver, and ivory ornaments to match the other furnishings in the room. The mantle is a garland filled with blueberry picks, white hydrangeas and other greenery. It’s so pretty at night when all the christmas lights are on!

For the stair railing, I used a green garland on the stair rail and then wired ribbon into the garland. I added the same blueberry picks used in the tree and mantle. 

Kitchen and Dining Room

For the kitchen area, I wired the small wreaths onto ribbon wrapped around the barstools. For the island, I made a flower arrangement out of faux flowers and a mix of faux greens. I hung a simple wreath with the same ribbon above the stove on the hood. I put away my fall dishes and replaced them with some of my blue dishes. Having the different shades of blue on the open shelves goes well with the different shades of blue I used in all the Christmas decor.

I created the tablescape with my everyday blue dishes and silver accents. I made a garland with faux cedar, frosted eucalyptus picks and then placed silver ornaments and votive candles into it. 

Family Room

In the family room, I added in some green colors this year. I had a lot of green and brown ornaments that I didn’t use in the big tree so I found a way to use them on the smaller tree. For the tree, I used my slim, 6.5 flocked tree and filled it with green, white, and brown ornaments. I kept things more simple on this tree. For the mantle, I had to find a way not to block the TV and sound bar to keep my husband and boys happy. The solution was to drape the garland down a little in the middle. It’s not my favorite look, but it was a good compromise! The garland is a base green garland with frosted pine picks and white berries tucked in at an angle. Stockings are on one side and a few larger ornaments hang down on the opposite side. I just love Decorating For The Holidays.

Outdoor Decor

On the front door I used the same ribbon on the wreaths that I used indoors and added in some juniper berry picks to the wreaths. These were the same wreaths I used last year but with a few small changes, they look totally new!

I took out the pumpkins from the obelisks in the flower posts and filled them up with pine cones.  I added a wreath and some ribbon to the top and cut fresh juniper from the trees in my yard and filled that in around the base of the obelisks. I had to wrap wire around the obelisks to keep the pinecones from falling-out. Turns out they shrink when they get wet and cold! 

Entryway

In the entryway, I put more greenery in the big ginger jar, put up my “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” sign and added some reindeer and the gold merry christmas sign.

Hot Chocolate Bar

I make my own hot chocolate mix every year to give out as gifts to neighbors and friends. I also like to have a hot chocolate bar for anyone who wants a hot cup of cocoa now that its quite cold here in Utah!

Decorating For The Holidays

The idea for this tablescape came when I was decorating for Christmas last year.  I had to get my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving! We had a lot of company coming over the holidays and I needed to have the decorating out of the way before the crowds arrived. I was trying to figure out how I could use the same garland for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and I found it was actually quite easy! It saved me so much time and money and I was able to use this all through winter.

For the center garland I used faux frosted tip pine branches, frosted eucalyptus, pine cone picks that were painted the same color as the table, and faux cedar branches. I used a grey table runner underneath it. I layered the cedar branches and then layered in the frosted tip pine branches, eucalyptus, and the pine cones.

I used a few different sets of dishes and was able to create multiple tablescapes using this same table garland over the holidays and into the winter.  Here I am sharing the more formal one I created with my treasured china.

My husband bought this beautiful china for me for our 20th Anniversary. When we were married, we couldn’t afford china or anything fancy and my husband knew I had always wanted a set.  He googled, “what do you get your wife for a 20th anniversary present” and found out that it was fine china!  He took me to pick out my pattern and it was a total surprise!  As I was looking at the different patterns, I saw one that reminded me of my Grandma Harris. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was the one meant for me!  This was so meaningful to me and I treasure these dishes and the memories surrounding them.

I used silver mercury glass pumpkins, silver and grey velvet pumpkins, tan linen pumpkins, silver turkeys, and teal votive candle holders. To finish it off, I then added some tall silver candlesticks with white candles to make it a little more fancy. I also used some porcelain turkey salt shakers.  I had to get a few more turkeys into the tablescape!

I used silver round placemats, silver flatware, silver napkin rings, white and silver napkins, and silver rimmed stemware. I tossed some dark green pillows into the big wing back chairs to add in some more color.

This table was so elegant and I still love it just as much as I did when I created it last season. This is one of my all time favorites. I think back to the memories we’ve made around this table.  I can’t wait for Thanksgiving!! I will share in another post what I did for Christmas!

Holly’s Helpful Hints

Use items you already have.  I had the turkeys and all the different pumpkins from past tablescapes.

Use a table runner under the garland.  It helps keep it centered and adds a little color underneath.

For the alternate tablescape I spoke about above, I used my blue target dishes and grey napkins. I’ll share in another post about what I did for Christmas!

The velvet pumpkins are best when they are the real ones.  Hotskwash is one of the best sources but you can learn how to make them on YouTube.  I’ve linked some below as well.
