Create a Simple Lavender Inspired Centerpiece I love entertaining and there is nothing better than a warm summer night in the Pacific Northwest and having my girlfriends over for an outdoor dinner party. I created this simple lavender inspired centerpiece for a dinner party I hosted in my backyard a few weeks back. For this dinner party, we were celebrating my sweet friend Gina's birthday. I didn't have a lot of time to prepare so I kept this one simple and sweet. One way to keep it simple is to create a centerpiece out of potted plants that you can purchase at a grocery store. Choose a Theme or Color Palette I always choose a theme or pick a color palette based on something I see that inspires me. When I was planning this party, I had gone to Trader Joe's to see what flowers they had and to shop for ingredients for the food I was planning to make. As soon as I saw these potted lavender plants and the smaller flowering plants in purple and lavender containers, I knew
Tablescape for St. Patricks Day, Spring, and Easter
Tablescape for St. Patricks Day, Spring, and Easter One Tablescape, Three Occasion's
I created this tablescape for St. Patricks Day but it also works well for Spring and Easter and I had these beautiful dishes with the prettiest colors of green and blue that I'd been saving for something special. I decided they would be perfect for this versatile tablescape. Creating beautiful tablescapes is something I've always loved to do and when I can create one that works for an entire season, I love it even more! It's almost a challenge to create something that I can use for multiple occasions.
The CenterpieceWhen creating a tablescape, I like to create a garland centerpiece. Spring flowers are still a ways off so I used faux flowers. If you use quality faux flowers, they can be used again which I'm always a fan of. I'll link all my favorite sources at the bottom of the

Its fun to go out to dinner somewhere fancy but it's also fun changing it up and doing something different. I created this romantic tablescape to inspire you to change it up a bit and celebrate at home with your sweetheart. You can keep it simple or you can go all out. It's up to you! I'm also including some of the recipes that you can make that are not too complicated and are sure to make your significant other very happy! Pretty In Pink Valentines Day Tablescape
Sharing how to create a pretty Pink and white Valentines Tablescape for Valentines Day. Pink and White dinnerware with fresh flowers.
I created this pretty pink and white Valentines tablescape for a family Valentines Day dinner. We always have Sunday dinner with our family and friends and I enjoy cooking for everyone, This tradition of sharing a meal at least once a week helps keeps our family close. Our children are all in college in Utah and when we are at the Highland house, we always try to get everyone together. I love that my grown children still want to come home and spend time with us.
I often use faux flowers for the garland or centerpiece on my table but when I went to the wholesale flower market and saw these beautiful pink garden roses, I knew I wanted to create a centerpiece with them. They were so beautiful and smelled amazing too! I grabbed a few other bunches of pinkish berries and some greenery to
