The Focal Point: Centerpiece Garland

Let’s start with the focal point: I used a table runner and layered the centerpiece garland on top of it. Then I made the garland using frosted pines, frosted peonies and eucalyptus. This is one of my favorite ways to make a garland for the winter season, and then add in different items that work for the different holidays in the winter season. You can see more about how I do this in this blog post here: How to Create a Versatile Winter Centerpiece Garland.
The Table-Setting:
I love to create layers in my place settings. For this particular tablescape, I used a red heart placemat, a red beaded dinner plate, a white scalloped salad plate, and a pink beaded heart dessert plate. I also added some homemade Valentine’s cookies to the top of the dessert plate. I then added a red and white checkered napkin under the white plate to create some contrast.

Next, I added some pink hearts to some gold placecard holders, gold flatware and clear glass goblets.

To add some more romantic vibes to the tables, I used mango wood candleholders with red candlesticks and some white “love” words at the end of each table. (The LOVE words are from Hobby Lobby.)

This tablescape isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about creating moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. Whether you’re celebrating with a longtime partner, a new flame, or simply reveling in self-love, may this Valentine’s Day be filled with warmth, connection, and the sweetest of memories.

I invite you to embrace the spirit of love and let your hearts soar. Whether you recreate this tablescape at home or simply allow yourself to bask in its beauty, know that you are deserving of all the love and happiness in the world. Happy Valentine’s Day, from my heart to yours.

Your tablescape for Valentines Day is beautiful!!
I have a question for you, I also like to layer plates for a pretty look, but not sure how to handle all the plates when you serve the meal? What do you suggest? Usually the salad plate is too small for the regular meal.
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much Joyce! Great question! I usually serve buffet style so I will usually take the smaller plates off the table before we east and stack them next to the buffet area where I serve the food. It also depends on what I’m serving and how many plates will stay on the table. If I have a small bread plate, I will leave that on the table since they will be used at the same time and then if I’m having a salad, or soup, or dessert, I’ll set those dishes near the food so everyone can dish themselves up! Hope that helps!
