Dining Outdoors in the Pacific Northwest

Valentines Day is just around the corner and I wanted to share this darling Pink Hearts Valentines Day Tablescape. I shared some of these photos last year in a post titled How to Mix Valentines Day Decorations into your Winter Decor, but this is the first time I've shared all of the details and some close up photos. The Place-setting

Black, Yellow, and White Cabin Tablescape

Every summer we spend a few weeks at our little cabin in the Pioneer Mountains of southwest Montana. One of my favorite things to do when we arrive is to set a new tablescape at the cabin. I don't have a lot of black and darker colors in my decor at my other homes, so look forward to setting the table at our cabin when I can use darker colors in my tablescapes. This Black, Yellow, and White Cabin Tablescape was so much fun to create and I love how warm and cozy it is.

The Inspiration for the Tablescape

I always find something that inspires each tablescape I create. As I mentioned earlier, our cabin has a lot of dark, rustic, colors and and the dining table and chairs are black. I love gingham and checkered patterns and when I found these ruffled gingham round placemats at Homegoods, I knew immediately that I would use them at the cabin. I also found these

I'm sharing all the details of this beautiful Lavender and Teal Spring Tablescape that I set for Sunday dinner a few weeks ago. The darker purple and teal colored flowers were the inspiration behind this tablescape. I love mixing and matching dishes to come up with new place settings and this tablescape came together so beautifully.

The Place-setting

For the place setting on this spring tablescape, I mixed and matched different sets of dishes I already had. I started with a charger, then layered a dinner and salad plate on top. When I set a table, I think about what I'll be serving for the dinner and that's how I decide on how many dishes to use in the place
