Lavender and Mint Green Tablescape I absolutely love lavender season and look forward to it every summer! I dream of creating a beautiful outdoor tablescape in a lavender field somewhere. Since I wasn't able to do that this summer, I was inspired to create this Lavender and Mint Green tablescape for a luncheon I was hosting at my home. I had planned this tablescape out in my head for months and just before I was ready to start putting it together, Yankee Candle Company reached out to me and asked if I would like to use their new Dried Lavender and Oak candle from their Farmers Market Collection. Of course, I was thrilled because I love using candles in my tablescapes. These candles not only look nice, they smell amazing. The timing of this couldn't have been more perfect. Lavender and Mint Green Place-Setting For the place-setting I chose these hyacinth placemats. I like layering different textures and patterns and these worked perfectly. I used mint green

It's been a while since my friends Lory, To Have + To Host, and Holliday, Home With Holliday, and I have done a blog hop with our entertaining ideas and tablescapes. We met for the first time in Lory's hometown of Phoneix, Arizona, last month and we had a wonderful time meeting in person and talking about our love of entertaining and hosting at home.
Together we created this stunning Anthropologie Inspired Outdoor Tablescape in Lory's beautiful backyard. Lory then hosted us for a delicious dinner in her home with her lovely family.
We are so excited to share with you our eighth post in our blog hop series Holiday Hosting at Home! Today we are sharing some inspirations for any patriotic parties you may be
Pretty In Pink Valentines Day Tablescape
Sharing how to create a pretty Pink and white Valentines Tablescape for Valentines Day. Pink and White dinnerware with fresh flowers.
I created this pretty pink and white Valentines tablescape for a family Valentines Day dinner. We always have Sunday dinner with our family and friends and I enjoy cooking for everyone, This tradition of sharing a meal at least once a week helps keeps our family close. Our children are all in college in Utah and when we are at the Highland house, we always try to get everyone together. I love that my grown children still want to come home and spend time with us.
I often use faux flowers for the garland or centerpiece on my table but when I went to the wholesale flower market and saw these beautiful pink garden roses, I knew I wanted to create a centerpiece with them. They were so beautiful and smelled amazing too! I grabbed a few other bunches of pinkish berries and some greenery to
Thanksgiving Silver and White Tablescape
Sharing an Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape featuring silver and white table settings, a garland table runner, and pumpkins with greenery.
The idea for this tablescape came when I was decorating for Christmas last year. I had to get my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving! We had a lot of company coming over the holidays and I needed to have the decorating out of the way before the crowds arrived. I was trying to figure out how I could use the same garland for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and I found it was actually quite easy! It saved me so much time and money and I was able to use this all through winter.
For the center garland I used faux frosted tip pine branches, frosted eucalyptus, pine cone picks that were painted the same color as the table, and faux cedar branches. I used a grey table runner underneath it. I layered the cedar branches and then layered in the frosted tip pine branches, eucalyptus, and the pine cones.
