Fall Home Tour -Highland House 2019 Welcome to my home and thank you for joining me on this years Fall Home Tour -2019. I hope you enjoy these glimpses into my Highland, Utah home. I'll link all sources and information at the bottom of the post. Entryway and Front Porch Decor I loved the pumpkin tower obelisks that I created last season so I decided to use them again with a slight change. Instead of using larger pumpkins at the base, I used small pumpkins and gourds. If you'd like to see last seasons decor post click here: Fall Home Tour -Highland House I planted mums and other perennials in the pots with the pumpkin towers and flower pots by the front door. Indoor Entryway For the entryway I created a floral arrangement in a blue and white ginger jar with dark blue, burnt orange, and ivory flowers. I bought these furry ivory pumpkins at Gatehouse No1 in Orem Utah. They are so soft! The Living Room I created another floral arrangement in
How to Style with Fifty Shades of Blue Guest Room Reveal
Check out my Fifty Shades of Blue Guest Room Reveal at the Highland house. See how I styled this well-used guest room. Fifty Shades of Blue Guest Room Reveal
I'm finally sharing one of our guest rooms that we call the "blue" room. When we first moved into the Highland house, we somehow named each bedroom by color. This room had blue wallpaper and was a baby boy's nursery so it naturally became the blue room. There is a lot of blue going on in here so that's why I've called it the fifty shades of blue guest room reveal.
It took me awhile to share this room because it's usually being used by one of the kids home from college or guests. We jokingly call our Utah house the Holly Hotel because we have a lot of family and friends that come to stay.
There is a Jack and Jill bathroom between the blue room and what I call the "gray room" on the other side.

Lavender and Mint Green Tablescape
Lavender and Mint Green Tablescape I absolutely love lavender season and look forward to it every summer! I dream of creating a beautiful outdoor tablescape in a lavender field somewhere. Since I wasn't able to do that this summer, I was inspired to create this Lavender and Mint Green tablescape for a luncheon I was hosting at my home. I had planned this tablescape out in my head for months and just before I was ready to start putting it together, Yankee Candle Company reached out to me and asked if I would like to use their new Dried Lavender and Oak candle from their Farmers Market Collection. Of course, I was thrilled because I love using candles in my tablescapes. These candles not only look nice, they smell amazing. The timing of this couldn't have been more perfect. Lavender and Mint Green Place-Setting For the place-setting I chose these hyacinth placemats. I like layering different textures and patterns and these worked perfectly. I used mint green
Montana Cabin Home Tour
Montana Cabin Home Tour Montana Cabin Home Tour So many of you have asked me about our little cabin in the woods so I decided to do a Montana Cabin Home Tour post and share all the details. Our cabin is located in what is called, Gold West Country in southwest Montana. It's in a little known town called Polaris, which is in the Pioneer Mountains. We purchased the cabin back in 2005 when it was about 4 years old. The original cabin was smaller and we added on the front section and the porch a few years after purchasing it. The Living Room Addition We added on a living room addition so we had a larger place to gather. The original cabin was barely a thousand square feet which made it a little crowded for our family of 6. We hired a local guy to do the addition and I love how it turned out. The Living Room addition is lower than the main cabin and has made the cabin much more enjoyable with our large family. We chose to do stained concrete floors and put
Pink Peony Summertime Tablescape
Pink Peony Summertime Tablescape Who doesn't love farm fresh pink peonies? I was inspired to create this pink peony summertime tablescape after visiting my friend Amy Brown's flower farm. She and her husband Steve, own Laughing Goat Flower Farm located in the beautiful town of Enumclaw, Washington. Enumclaw is a farming town located southeast of Seattle and sits just below the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and majestic Mount Rainier. A Match Made In Heaven Amy and I met last summer at a floral arranging workshop and it was a match made in heaven. We became fast friends and realized we lived near one another. We bonded over our love of flowers and gardening. I love going to visit Amy and Steve at their farm and seeing all the beautiful flowers, vegetables, and of course, the adorable goats, pigs, and the farm dog Sheila. Laughing Goat also grows beyond organic vegetables and both Amy and I love growing and eating our own food. Amy is much better at gardening
