1. Layering for Style
The key to creating an eye-catching tablescape with paper plates is layering. Start with a plastic (reusable) charger as your base and then a larger paper plate for the main dish. Then add smaller plates on top for dimension and for the other courses you plan for what food you are serving.
For this tablescape we had a main dish, salad, and dessert so I used three sizes of paper plates. You can also mix and match different shades of pink or patterns to add depth to your table setting as I did here. I used two of the hot pink plates and added the lighter pink salad sized plate in the middle.

2. Matching Pink Accents
To tie the look together, I opted for matching pink plastic cups and cutlery. Consistency is key here, so stick to the pink theme and varying shades of pink throughout or mix in some varying patterns of pink that don’t clash. Don’t forget the small details! I used adorable pink paper doilies as place cards for each guest to add a personal touch to the table.
For an extra bit of fancy, unfold two napkins and layer then in an offset way and then pinch the middle and tuck them into the plastic cups. I love doing this with paper napkins. You can do them with solid colors or mixed patterns. Whatever you prefer!
Since we were hosting 30 people I used a diffeent placemat on the place settings at the island bar. I didn’t have enough gold chagers so I switched to white and pink placemats to keep the look consistent. It’s okay to mix and match as well.
3. Sweet Treats in Pink
No tablescape is complete without a little something sweet, right? I used pink paper cups filled with treats for each guest to enjoy. Whether it’s candies, chocolates, or even mini cupcakes, these little delights will add an extra touch of sweetness to your table. I used a mix of pink jelly beans and butter mints in this tablescape and my friends loved it!
4. Creating a Stunning Centerpiece
Now, let’s talk about the centerpiece! I almost always use a table runner and to keep with the paper theme, I used pink wrapping paper with specks of gold for the table runner and then I made the centerpiece on top of that by using faux flowers and greenery.
Here are some of my favorite faux blossoming branches. I will link the rest of the items I used or similar items at the bottom of the post under the Shop My Post section. Just tap on the images to go to the source.

Start by laying down a base of artificial greenery (or real if you prefer) to create a lush foundation. Next, add in faux cherry and apple blossom branches to infuse your garland with a touch of spring!
The combination of pink blossoms and mixed greenery will create a stunning focal point for your tablescape.
And there you have it, – a pink paper plate tablescape that’s as pretty as a picture!
With just a few simple supplies and a dash of creativity, you can transform any meal into a memorable dining experience. So, the next time you’re hosting a gathering, don’t be afraid to think outside the box and embrace the beauty of paper plates. Until next time, happy decorating!
