To Have + To Host A few years ago, Lory was drawn to a beautiful fall tablescape from a high-end table-top rental company. When she added up the cost of it for 6 people she realized it would be about
Thanksgiving Silver and White Tablescape
Sharing an Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape featuring silver and white table settings, a garland table runner, and pumpkins with greenery.
The idea for this tablescape came when I was decorating for Christmas last year. I had to get my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving! We had a lot of company coming over the holidays and I needed to have the decorating out of the way before the crowds arrived. I was trying to figure out how I could use the same garland for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and I found it was actually quite easy! It saved me so much time and money and I was able to use this all through winter.
For the center garland I used faux frosted tip pine branches, frosted eucalyptus, pine cone picks that were painted the same color as the table, and faux cedar branches. I used a grey table runner underneath it. I layered the cedar branches and then layered in the frosted tip pine branches, eucalyptus, and the pine cones.

Pumpkin Themed Fall Tablescape
Sharing my pumpkin themed fall tablescape for autumn decor inspiration and a gorgeous way to host family and guests Pumpkin Themed Fall Tablescape
When I saw these cute pumpkin dishes at HomeGoods, I knew I had to do a Pumpkin Themed Fall Tablescape. I often search for unique dishes for my tablescapes and when I found these cute pumpkin plates and bowls, I envisioned this festive table with different types of pumpkins.
The one downside with HomeGoods is that there is not always a full set of any place setting. After searching six different stores in two different states, I finally had enough for 10 place settings! Whew! It was a lot of work tracking these dishes down but it has been so worth it. My sweet husband actually found half of them for me! He's a keeper!
I did two different tablescapes with these dishes, mainly because I
Sage Green and White Fall Transitional Tablescape
Sage Green and White Fall Transitional Tablescape
As we start heading towards fall, I thought it would be nice to create a neutral tablescape that still works for summer but also works as a fall transitional tablescape. I had invited three different families over for “Lasagna Night” and wanted to try out a new recipe I had for peaches since they were in season. I planned on having about twenty guests. I decided to use the outdoor table for the kids' table, and the indoor table for the adults. I also utilized the bar for four more place settings for some of the bigger kids. (Holly's Homemade Lasagna Recipe) (Fresh Peach Dessert)
I pulled out my sage green dishes, white dishes, all my tan and white napkins, and wicker napkin rings. I also pulled out some woven placemats that mixed nicely with both sets of dishes and linens. I played around with the different plates and linens to see what looked nice
Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Tablescape
Create a red, white, and blue patriotic tablescape is perfect inspiration for Fourth of July, Memorial Day, or Flag Day festivities. Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Tablescape
I love the Fourth of July! Celebrating this holiday has always been so fun and meaningful for me and my family. I also get an excuse to create a Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Tablescape and use my dishes in different ways!
I've traveled the world playing and coaching soccer, and whenever I have been in other countries, I almost always choke up when our national anthem is played. I have been able to observe how other people in various countries sing their national anthem at the top of their lungs with as much pride for their country as I have for mine. It’s such a beautiful thing!
I’m that person who will always sing it when it’s appropriate and my kids look at me weird and probably wish
