Saint Patrick's Day Chocolate Cupcakes Making cupcakes is so much fun and something you can include your children in that's a fun family activity. One of the most fun holidays to make cupcakes for is Saint Patrick's! When my kids were little, they loved helping me bake and decorate cupcakes and sugar cookies. This year I thought it would be fun to make chocolate cupcakes with Aunt Jeanies Chocolate Cake recipe and decorate them for Saint Patrick's Day. Instead of using the ganache frosting that goes with this recipe, I used my friend Ashley's (www.livingbeautafully.com) go-to chocolate buttercream frosting recipe. I needed a stiffer frosting that could be piped so I could top the cupcakes with the gold chocolate coins and green sprinkles. The Decorations I found these cute green and gold cupcake liners, green sprinkles, and gold chocolate coins at one of my favorite baking supply stores and couldn't wait to make these cute cupcakes. I've listed the cake recipe
Tablescape for St. Patricks Day, Spring, and Easter
Tablescape for St. Patricks Day, Spring, and Easter One Tablescape, Three Occasion's
I created this tablescape for St. Patricks Day but it also works well for Spring and Easter and I had these beautiful dishes with the prettiest colors of green and blue that I'd been saving for something special. I decided they would be perfect for this versatile tablescape. Creating beautiful tablescapes is something I've always loved to do and when I can create one that works for an entire season, I love it even more! It's almost a challenge to create something that I can use for multiple occasions.
The CenterpieceWhen creating a tablescape, I like to create a garland centerpiece. Spring flowers are still a ways off so I used faux flowers. If you use quality faux flowers, they can be used again which I'm always a fan of. I'll link all my favorite sources at the bottom of the
Aunt Jeanie’s Chocolate Cake: The Best Chocolate Cake Recipe Ever!
Are you ready? This is the BEST Chocolate Cake Recipe ever. Try this delightfully tasty recipe next time your sweet tooth kicks in.
My husbands Grandma Fuhriman and her sister Jeanie were amazing cooks. We loved to visit them both and I always enjoyed following them around their kitchens trying to help them cook and learn some of their delicious recipes. They were the cutest things and shared a special relationship with one another.
The two of them always made this chocolate cake that everyone loved. The rumor is that Grandma made up the frosting and Jeanie made up the cake. They were always tweaking the recipe of both the cake and frosting. We have found at least 7 different versions of this recipe!
Aunt Jeanie, as we called her, lived near our Washington home and we'd see her often. She never forgot anyone's birthday and always showed up with at least one of her chocolate cakes no matter the occasion. She had this way of making everyone feel like
Galentines Day Brunch 2019
I really enjoy hosting parties and bringing people together. It's just something I've always done and I'm just wired that way. When I moved to Utah I picked a CrossFit gym that was close by and started going every day. The ladies at this gym were so warm and friendly and welcomed me with open arms. To show my appreciation months later, I invited them all to my home for lunch. What transpired was something so special that I did not expect! Everyone started sharing things that were deep and personal and I realized that we had all bonded over some life experiences we all had in common. There were tears shed and expressions of love, understanding, and compassion for one another. Since that time, we have gathered every so often and continued this tradition. One of my favorite memories of our first gathering was when I went to do the laundry the following day, I noticed that all of the cloth napkins we'd used for lunch had make-up stains from when we were all
