Thanks for your comments. It is challenging to find a good cabinet maker to do an island for a closet. Mine was already installed when I bought my house and it was custom so I can’t share any details about that sadly. I will add that to my content list for future posts. I think custom is the best route to get exactly what you want but I agree that it’s difficult to find someone to do just and island!

I love your island as well and have been shopping around for an island myself, but so many cabinet makers don’t want to deal with the “small” job of just a closet island. The ironic thing is that drawers, which typically comprise an island, are the most expensive types of cabinets because of the hardware. I’d love some tips on island sourcing beyond Wayfair. I’m looking for quality and willing to pay for that. I’ve gotten 2 quotes and one rejection from cabinet makers, and none can do the level of detail your cabinets have with the legs and side panels, not to mention hardware customization. We could use an island cabinet article!

Thanks for trying this recipe and I’m glad you liked it! It’s always a hit when I make it and you can make all sorts of variations of it. The raspberries are just a little addition that you can use or leave them out. I like to add them in and or lemon slices to make it pretty! It’s def got a lot of sugar in it but it’s so good!
