You never realize how many tables you have to decorate and set until you plan a wedding! Today I’m sharing all the details of all the tables I decorated for my daughter’s fall wedding. I saved a lot of money doing this part myself and I love how everything turned out! Using fall colors for the fall wedding tablescapes and decorated table areas was one of my favorite things! Table Centerpieces

The Long Tables

For the long tables, I used sheer ivory table runners down the middle. I ordered fresh eucalyptus garlands from a floral shop that were premade and this saved me a lot of time. I then added in some of the faux fall flowers into the garlands to carry over the same theme as I was using in the round tables. I added in some framed photos of the happy couple, gold mercury glass votive candles and the table number. We also created a QR code and printed it out onto little cards and placed those on the table so everyone could share their photos or videos from the day with the bride and groom.

The Round Table Centerpieces

For the round tables, I made these centerpieces ahead of time. All of the flowers and greenery are artificial and are from my fall collection in my online store. I will share the sources at the bottom of the post. I also used tablecloths on the round tables that we rented through the venue along with the napkins. The tablecloths were a creamy white color and the napkins were a peachy pink color that went well with the fall wedding color palette my daughter had chosen.

I made the centerpieces ahead of time so that I could take them to the venue and set them on the tables. I arranged them in gold compotes and since they were made with faux flowers and greenery, I didn’t have to worry about them dying. I made them a week ahead of the wedding and I’m so glad I did that!

The Welcome Table

I decorated a few tables at the entrance to the venue welcoming the guests and a gift table. For the welcome table, I added a custom guest book that I had made from all their engagement photos. Each page had a photo and guests could sign all the different pages and wish the couple well. I also put some other decorations on the table and more framed photos of the couple.

Next to the guest book table we hung a welcome sign (template also from Etsy linked at the bottom) on a copper frame that I ordered off of Amazon and then I spray painted it gold. Next to the table, we set H & M marquee letters with lights that we rented next to the welcome table.

The Indoor Reception

Mixing Long Tables with Round Tables

We used a mix of long tables and round tables and I really loved having the two options. Both table options looked so beautiful and the overall layout of the tables look so lovely. I also decorated the chandelier above all the tables with the same faux florals and greenery that I used in the table centerpieces.

The Place-Settings

For the place settings, we opted for gold chargers, white dinner plates, and gold flatware. We were able to rent this from the venue which was super helpful. I made menu cards and table numbers using a template I got from Etsy (see link below). I bought the template and was able to add in all the details and print it out at the UPS store which was super easy. (I also got the welcome sign from the same Etsy shop) I added a silk ribbon under the menu card and then layered the napkins under the dinner plate to complete the look. Super simple, yet still elegant for our fall wedding tablescape.

The Buffet Table

For the dinner, we chose to do the buffet-style option as that was more affordable than the plated dinner. We also opted for a charcuterie table with a butterboard for the guests to nibble on while the wedding party did their wedding photos. I was so busy making sure everything was going as planned that I never even saw the charcuterie table or butter board so I’m so glad the photographer took pictures of it all!

I kept the decorations very simple on the food tables by layering some greenery, decorative signs, and pink table runners. I also added a lantern on the larger table with a white pillar candle.

The Reception Tables

The Queso Cheese Fountain Table

For the reception, the bride and groom wanted a queso cheese fountain with tortilla chips to go along with the bite-sized appetizers and desserts. Let’s just say it was a hit!

The Drink Table

We set up a soda/drink bar and everyone could make their own drinks! We had a menu with some different soda concoctions for people to make and I added some flowers to this table on the bar overhead.

Bride and Groom Table and Backdrop

We set a table just for the bride and groom. It was one of the longer tables so I decorated it with the same eucalyptus garland, sheer table runner, and flowers and then we added the Mr. & Mrs. signs that I also purchased from Hobby Lobby. This created a beautiful accent for our fall wedding tablescapes.

I wanted a backdrop behind the bride and groom so I used these two backdrops made out of old pallet wood. A friend of mine made them for me about eight years ago for my oldest son’s wedding and they have come in very handy! I use them all the time and they also worked out great to create this darling backdrop to frame the bride and groom table by adding photos of the couple from their engagement photos to gold frames of differing sizes and then hung them up on the wood backdrop. I then added pink ribbon behind them to make it look like they were hung by the ribbon. It turned out so cute!

My daughter wanted a neon sign so I ordered one from Etsy (link below) and we hung that in the center. I thought this was so darling and creative and the couple loved it!

The Watercolor Art Table

One of the most unique things we did during the wedding reception was to hire an artist to paint a live watercolor portrait of the bride and groom. The artist’s name is Drew Harris. He is based out of Idaho but as far as I know, he will travel. His info is linked here: Live Watercolor Artist

Hello Friends! I have been so excited to share all the details from my daughter’s fall wedding. This is one of four blog posts where I will be sharing all the details. Can you believe we pulled this Fall Wedding off in less than six months? I don’t recommend it but once my daughter and her fiancé decided they were ready to take the plunge, there was no reason to wait! Planning Your Fall Wedding

There are so many details and things to think of when planning a wedding and since it was in the fall, we wanted the colors to reflect that season. I absolutely love the color palette my daughter wanted for her fall wedding colors.

Here are some of the images and details of the many different spaces we added wedding decorations to that you may want to consider using for your special day.

Florals, Decor, and Tablescapes

The venue we chose was the perfect backdrop and location for a Fall Wedding. The venue is located in Spanish Fork, Utah, and is called Riverbridge Events Center. The owner is amazing and went over and beyond to make everything perfect for this special day. We loved that there was an indoor space that was beautiful and so fun to decorate as well as an outdoor space. We prayed our hearts out for the weather to be perfect and our prayers were answered! October 20th in Utah can either be a blizzard or a beautiful sunny day and thankfully the sun was shining and it was a perfect 72 degrees with no wind. We couldn’t have asked or a better day weather was for a fall wedding!

I am not a wedding planner but decorating and flowers are kind of what I do so of course I did all the decorating. We chose to use faux flowers since all the flowers we wanted to use and the colors are not easily available during the fall season and so we decided to go that route. Another great reason I used the faux florals is so that I could decorate the venue the day before and I didn’t have to worry about anything dying overnight. This allowed me to enjoy the wedding day and have all the decorating done the day before. I also love that the flowers don’t die and I was able to make all the centerpieces ahead of time and I could focus on decorating the huge chandelier and other spaces in the venue.

I am not going to lie, when I saw the chandelier for the first time in person I was a little overwhelmed! I had never done anything like this and was wondering how I was going to fill up the entire thing with flowers. That is also another reason that I was happy to have so many beautiful, high-quality, artificial flowers and greenery to work with. Many of the items I used were already in my fall collection on my online shop called Shop Holly J Home. Not only did everyone think the flowers and greenery were real, they couldn’t believe how beautiful they looked! We were able to add in the fall tones of the flowers and greenery my daughter wanted. Another bonus, they don’t die the next day and I was able to reuse a lot of the flowers and greener in other decorating projects I did after the wedding!

Would you believe the quote I got for the chandelier with fresh flowers was over $10,000?! I am so glad we opted for the faux flowers and greenery! I think I spent about $4000 on flowers and I still have them all! I’ve linked all the items below at the bottom of the post!

Today, I’m thrilled to finally be sharing all the details of my daughter’s fall wedding. It was a beautiful celebration at the peak of fall and everything about the day was perfect and one of the happiest days for our family. Hopefully, this post can give you some inspiration and tips for planning a fall wedding.

The Wedding Colors and Decorations

From the elegant table settings to stunning floral arrangements, find inspiration for creating a dreamy and cohesive atmosphere that reflects the colors of the season. My daughter wanted to have pink as the main color with shades of blue, green, and mulberry but with more of a fall color palette. I was able to find the perfect combination of colors that made this such a beautiful wedding.

The Invitations and Other Printables

I designed the invitations using an Etsy template that I will link here. We invited about 150 guests to the ceremony and dinner and then about 250 more guests were invited to the reception. We sent out two separate invites that were so easy to make and have printed. We used a local printer in Utah called Pleasant Grove Printers but you can have the invitations printed anywhere.

Here is the link for the copper sign stand we used. We painted ours gold with spray paint and used ribbon to tie the printed sign onto the stand.

Here is the invitation. We downloaded it from Etsy and customized it. The details were printed on the back. This was truly such an easy tip for planning a fall wedding.

We also had the welcome sign, menu cards, and table numbers printed in the same place. All were available in the same template. This was super affordable and easy to customize. The Etsy shop I purchased this template from has closed down but I’ll link another similar one here. Search Etsy for more styles if you want to find something like this template.

The Wedding and Bridesmaid Dresses

We bought my daughter’s wedding dress from a local bridal store in Utah called Pritchett Bridal.

I bought my dress from Nordstrom and the designer is Mac Duggal. Here is the link to mine but it may be sold out.

Sequin Floral Cocktail Midi Dress

Maddy wanted to do a “first look” with her dad and it was such a sweet and tender moment. She is our only daughter and let’s just say dad had a little bit of a hard time letting his baby girl go. I love that they had this special moment together.

My brother Brad performed the wedding ceremony and I love that he walked me down the aisle. He is one of my favorite people on this planet! We are 17 months apart and have always been close.

The Grooms Parents

My second son Jordan and his wife Hannah looked so cute together!

My oldest son Britton and his wife Aubree also looked so cute!

The groom’s brother Gray and little sister Kiko are so darling. I love this photo of them!

My third son Cameron was able to get leave from pilot training in the USAF and made it home in time for the wedding. He walked the groom’s sister Berkley down the aisle.

My darling granddaughters were the flower girls. Here is the link to their dresses. We chose the white dresses and added some velvet ribbon to the waistlines.

Our grandson was the ring bearer! Can you handle the cuteness? He played his part perfectly! Here is the link to the ring case. It even has an earpiece that goes in the ear, kind of like the Secret Service guys wear. So adorable!

The Bridesmaid dresses are from Bohme. Here is the link for them. They are flattering on every body type. Baltic Born is another great resource to find bridesmaid dresses as well as other occasion dresses. Here is a link to a similar dress and color from Baltic Born.

My dear friend Shannon DeHart, helped me make all the bouquets with fresh flowers. Shannon made Maddy’s bouquet and it was so beautiful. She then helped me make the thirteen bridesmaid bouquets. Can you believe we did this in 2.5 hours? Shannon owns Chatuea Monette Flower Farm in Payson Utah and she is amazing! Check out her farm here!

The grooms suit and the groomsmen’s clothing are from H&M. Maddy and Hudson both worked at H&M and that is also their initials so it’s fitting that this is where they got their suits and pants!

The Venue

Finding a good venue can be so hard when planning a fall wedding, and Riverbridge Event Center is an amazing venue. The couple wanted the ceremony outdoors in the pavilion and the reception to be indoors. Luckily the weather cooperated and we couldn’t have had a more perfect day weather-wise! The venue is affordable as well as beautiful and we opted to add the floral hoop chandelier and the lights and draperies to the ceiling.

Choosing the right venue sets the tone for the entire celebration. We are so glad we chose to have the wedding at River Bridge Events Center in Spanish Fork, Utah. It’s a newer venue that had options indoor and out for the ceremony and reception.

We used these wood backdrops that I had made for our oldest son’s wedding seven years ago and they worked perfectly for the bride and groom table area. We decided to do a picture wall and used the custom neon sign we had made with their last name. Here is the link to the neon sign.

My daughter and her fiancé wanted an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception and dinner. We prayed for the weather to be perfect and our prayers were answered! Mid-October in Utah can be a perfect seventy degrees, or it can be cold and windy or possibly snowing! The temperature at the time of the ceremony was 72 degrees! This was the perfect location that complemented the fall season and provided a picturesque backdrop for the festivities.

I did all the decorating and planning, and I love that I was able to do this! My daughter didn’t want anyone else doing it and although it was a little stressful doing the fall wedding planning and decorating, I was able to make my daughter’s wishes come true. I also have some amazing friends and family who showed up the day before to help me decorate and set up everything.

The floral hoop was quite a challenge and used a lot of flowers and greenery. Luckily, I was able to use all the fall florals from my home decor shop, Home With Holly J and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Here is an Instagram reel of how I did this with the help of my daughter.

Foral Hoop Chandelier Decorating Video

I made all of the centerpieces ahead of time using the same florals in the floral hoop chandelier. The flowers I used were all artificial and high quality. Many people thought they were fresh flowers and wondered how I kept them all from dying without water! That’s when you know faux florals have come a long way! All these florals and greenery can be found in my online shop as mentioned and linked above.

I used the floral arrangements on the round tables and for the long tables, I ordered premade fresh eucalyptus garlands from a local wholesale flower supplier. This made the table decorating so much faster. I had all the floral arrangements done so all we had to do was place them on the round tables and then add the 6′ eucalyptus garlands to the long tables. I also added some of the faux florals to each of the garlands to carry over the flowers to those tables to make the decorations more cohesive. We rented the table linens that the venue recommended for the round tables and used pink sheer table runners for the longer tables. The tablecloths and napkins were all pale pink which complimented the other decorations.

The Wedding Cake was very simple with fresh flowers. My favorite bakery in Utah is The Chocolate and the owner is a friend of mine. It was not only beautiful, it was so good!

The venue also catered the dinner and food for the reception. Everything was so delicious. We had a grazing board, butter board, and drink station, and the dinner was served buffet style. For the reception, the kids really wanted a queso fountain so we had that along with other food and desserts.

We also had an artist come and do a live watercolor painting during the wedding dinner and reception. The artist arrived in time for the ceremony, snapped some photos of the couple, and then went to work painting. I am so glad we chose to do this! A few days after the wedding, the artist delivered the finished painting to us! It is something we will always treasure!

For the send-off, my daughter changed dresses and shoes and we laid out luminaries on the path where they would walk out. My husband is from New Mexico and the luminaries are a New Mexico tradition that they do around Christmas. I thought it would be cute to do luminaries with hearts cut out of them and it turned out so cute! We also had the large sparklers that everyone lit as they were coming out along with a sparkler machine.
